Darkness4910
Hey Corsair users, due to some weird coincidence, I noticed a weird buzzing sound originating from here: http://i.imgur.com/2CDwXAI.jpg?1 I have recorded the sound it's producing here (note: two fans rotating in the background): [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QrrVQn_MPE[/ame] I believe this noise has been there since I bought this computer (2010-ish), but I never worried about it. But since other computers are very quiet in that location, I figured I'd ask here for advice just in case. It's very quiet and you don't really notice it unless you put your ear within ~5cm of it. Note that I am not at all knowledgeable about common abbreviations, etc.
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted May 13, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 13, 2015 Have you ever tried the PSU in another room on another circuit? Could be just a ground issue.
Darkness4910
Have you ever tried the PSU in another room on another circuit? Could be just a ground issue. I have tried starting my computer in a different room, but the noise was still there. I tried lifting up my computer as well, thinking the floor was somehow creating this noise. Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted May 14, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 14, 2015 Well, it's not harmful. But if it annoys you, it is a valid reason to get an RMA replacement.

Thank you :) Now I just need to track down where the second annoying noise is coming from.
