Midfield
Hi all, I'm currently in the midst of shopping for a case. Been looking at Corsair cases, the 240 Air in particular. However, I've got a concern with regards to hardware support. I'm currently running with a mATX build which comprises of: - B450 Mortar Titanium mATX Motherboard - Full Size ATX PSU - MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio - 2x8GB Ram - Undecided on Air Cooler; most likely Noctua NH D15 I was hoping some one might have first hand experience of whether the MSI 2080 Gaming X Trio will fit into the Corsair Air 240. Been reading conflicting information online and wasn't sure. If it does not fit in the Air 240; does anyone have any suggestions as to the smallest footprint case available to house all the components I listed above? Thanks for your help; much appreciated! Corsair Employee Corsair Caliente Posted April 3, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 3, 2019 Hey Midfield, Unfortunately that card won't fit. It's much too big. Our other small case, the 280X, won't fit it either. For this card I would use a mid-tower case over a small one.
c-attack
At 327mm long, you are pushing the limits of even medium to large cases that are not standard shape. Those extra long, extra wide models can be a real pain to fit.
Midfield
Cheers guys, thanks for the quick response. Appreciate it; it's a shame that it won't fit as I really like the Corsair Air series!
c-attack
Yeah me too, but I am not sure it even fits in my 740 Air. 325mm max. I had to pull my front radiator to get the Seahawk EK X in at 305mm.
Midfield
I've had a look and it seems that the old school Carbide Spec M2 might be able to house the 2080 Gaming X Trio. The dimensions are 378 x 198 x 448 with a 383mm GPU support. However, it appears that this case is discontinued already :(
