Question LL 120 Rainbow Wave Pattern

I've noticed that the rainbow wave pattern my fans make while my computer boots up is much smoother than the pattern it makes when my system is totally started up. Although I have both my hardware lighting and lighting channel 1 set to rainbow wave, I cannot seem to emulate the smooth rainbow pattern I desire while my system is running.

Yeah, it is actually faster and travels in the opposite direction around the ring compared to the software mode (medium speed vs medium speed). I don't know if it is intentional or a bug, but I have forwarded it on to the iCUE team with that question. There are some other effects that also behave differently in software mode vs hardware mode, even those the hardware mode preview suggests they are the same. Actual use is not. Color wave is another example.
