crimson_binome Posted July 12, 2020 Share Posted July 12, 2020 i bought new ram to increase from 8gb to 16gb part number CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. at its advertised speed of 3200 it is very unstable and causes VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE ~ Atikmpag.sys crash. even running at 2133 it still crashes eventually. i didnt catch that this ram set isnt on the boards QVL unfortunately. thought i would ask if anyone here if anyone has the same problem with this ram and ryzen 1600 as this ram kit seems to be pretty popular. are there any settings that might let me run it a little faster or at least help with stability at lower speeds? asus prime b450m-k ryzen 5 1600 corsair 16gb ddr4 3200 r9 290x Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crimson_binome Posted July 13, 2020 Author Share Posted July 13, 2020 Are they both the same part and version numbers? yes. version 4.31 i think. that print is REALLY tiny. after doing a CMOS reset i now have them running at 3000mhz. time will tell if it is stable. the problem was using D.O.C.P. i manually set it at 3000 and left everything else at auto and so far so good.
