bobjones514
Hello, Right now I have a Carbide Air 240 case with a GeForce GTX 980 card. I am looking to upgrade my GPU, and I am wanting to get a 2080TI, but I am unsure of what cards I would be able to fit in my case. I know the case says a 290mm card can fit, but I am using a H100i CPU cooler, it takes up a ton of room so I do not think I have the full 290mm to work with. I have barely enough room with the 980 right now. Should I go ahead and maybe downgrade to a H80i v2 cooler, and then would I be able to a big card, or is there something else I should do. Also is replacing an AIO cooler with another one an easy task? Thanks!
KILLER_K
You don't want to move your H100 to the top? Then add a few fans to the front and enjoy your new 2080 Ti after that? It is a very simple issue to fix but you have to decide if you want to move your H100 to a new location or not.
bobjones514
Thank you. I have moved around things in my case, and I think I should have room. Does anyone have a list of exactly what cards will fit in an Air 240 case though? I know the max length is 290mm, but I just want to make sure a card I buy would 100% fit. KILLER_K
290mm is 11.4 inches. I will double-check later on for max clearance though. EDIT: It is 14 inches to the fan mount. Even if you mount a rad and fans you should still have a little over 11 1/2 inches Edited February 12, 2020 by KILLER_K
