Flash Voyager GTX 512GB USB 3.1 not detected as removable drive

Hi,

I'm trying to make a recovery drive from the Flash Voyager GTX 512GB USB 3.1 using the software provided by my laptop manufacturer. However, the recovery software says no USB drive detected even though the drive is attached and is otherwise working perfectly. I was able to make a recovery drive using another USB drive with the same software, but I wanted to use the Corsair drive because of its amazing speed.

I suspect this is happening because the Corsair is detected as a "Local Drive" instead of "USB drive" under Windows 10 (under Properties).

Is there any way to force Windows to detect the Flash Voyager GTX as a removable USB drive?

Thanks!

May that's the reason because I have an M.2 and I bought a USB 3.1 Gen2 enclosure and it won't recognize it as USB but local drive, can't even eject it. I don't think you can force Windows to recognize it as a USB flash drive.

But what you could do is to clone the C drive to that USB flash drive.
