Default Turn off 240 mm corsair liquid cooler

Hi,

I have a Corsair 240 mm corsair liquid cooler in my system. My CPU rarely gets too hot and I would like to turn off this cooler. Could anyone please let me know how do I turn off the cooler and will it have any impact on the normal functioning. What if I just disconnect the fans power supply of the cooler?

Thanks,
Abhishek

Turn it off??? No, you don't turn it off. No coolant flow and you will overheat to shutdown in 60 seconds or less.

If you set the fans to zero, you will take on an immediate temperature penalty, but the CPU will not overheat. It would be better to set them to the lowest possible moving speed, which presumable is around 400 rpm. However, you have not indicated exactly what cooler you have and this varies from model to model.
