JDXT
Simply I purchased a corsair RMX 850W from Novatech. Went to install it on a brand new system where I found that it wouldn't power on. How I troubleshooted: Plugged in the 24 pin and used the paper clip method. - Nope Plugged in the power cord with the power supply plugged in and electric went to it. Used a screwdriver on the connectors to start it up. All of it: Nope. Summary: I believe that when turned on that power is being sent to the unit but the unit is not sending out power. So in short. RMA? Or easy fix? Specs: i7 4790K NH-D14 MSI Z97S KRAIT MOBO 16GB VENGENCE RAM 750D RMX 850W ASUS STRIX R9 390.
yatys93
if you want to test it, there is a PSU volt meter you can buy, might be worth it, or ya you can just RMA it, be sure to check all the connectors are properly seated first, as this can cause the safeties to stop the PC turning on if one is loose
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted December 28, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 28, 2015 When you jumpered the 24-pin with the paper clip, what was plugged into the PSU?
