RetroInferno
I have a MacBook Pro (mid 2010) and I recently purchased a Corsair SP2500. Since Macs do not have discrete audio, I was wondering if purchasing a DAC device would allow me to get more out of these speakers. I would probably connect it via USB, I'm not sure if the USB would limit the sound quality. Also, according to the MIDI settings on my mac, the integrated audio is capable of 32-bit with 96kHz out put. Please comment if you have any experience with macs and DAC devices. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 7, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 7, 2011 I am sorry but there is no way to connect the SP-2500 speakers VIA USB unless you use an external USB Audio device and if you do then I would make sure its amplified, but most APPLE Systems have decent on board Audio and these speakers should work well with the Analog Audio out. Wired
The USB port on the sub is for firmware updates, not to transmit audio.
