Question Bios memory timing and memory rated timings dont match what cpuz displays

I have Corsair rgb pro 3000mhz memory installed. The docp profile in bios states 15-17-17-35 ,but cpuz shows 16-17-17-35. Is this normal? thanks for any help as im new to this.

It is normal if you are a Ryzen user and Gear Down Mode is enabled in BIOS, because that will result in all uneven CAS latencies to get rounded up to the next even number.

Ok, I not sure about a gear dowm mode however I do plan on using dram calc etc to find optimum setting etc maybe that will help to a degree.

Is there a way to turn it off? Would it create issues?

Disabling GDM in BIOS can impact stability at higher memory ratios. You can test if your system can handle the XMP with GDM off, since DDR4-3000 is still pretty moderate, but stability testing is recommended afterwards.
