CL 3.1.5667 outstanging and new issues

Recommended Posts

I have just installed CL 3.1.5667 and most of the issues I have are still there. The main issues are:

  1. only one of my three CL Minis is reported
  2. my H110iGT is not correctly reported.
  3. CL does not use the Global\Access_CorsairLink mutex to interlock CL hardware access
  4. there is no updated firmware at all
  5. the H110iGT firmware is older then what it was shipped with
  6. only one of my two RM PSUs is reported
  7. only four of my six motherboard fans are reported
  8. none of my 7 disks are reported
  9. there are no release notes that I can find and the installation did not offer me an option to view them

Still only reporting one of my three CL Minis is outrageous

Looking at http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=745034 / http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=761626 you will see I reported all these issues 8 / 5 months ago so feel they should have been fixed. Especially so as it took me less than 5 months to add the CL hardware support to SIV.

After exiting CL I ran SIV which as you can see correctly reported all my hardware.

Not an issue.

No updated firmware. Was only meant for H110i GTX support.

Yes, the supplied firmware is older than the shipping firmware.

Only one RM PSU is supported at a time.

We can only see what we get from CPUID.

We have limited support for HDD's. We can only see what CPUID gives us.

You are correct. This build is only to support H110i GTX units and we posted it online so we can give it to the people that need it. it was only listed on the H110i GTX product page and all other product pages still have the old 5570 listed on it. It is in the main downloads page, but for any new user for the older products it will work just as well as the 5570 will. For all others there are no major changes.

I am very interested in how you have all of these devices connected together on one system. Everything is running through the Commander Minis correct?

Hi COOL GUY,

can I ask to you how can I have my two Corsair Mini working together as in your picture with Corsair Link?

Only with the USB connection? No other hardware Corsair Link connected?

Because I've also an "old" commander connected with a lighting node and an HX1000i (all connected and -perfectly- running with SIV; Corsair Link start everytime with a .net error).

Thanks in advance.

1) Multiple Commander Minis are supported and work.

2) H110i GT is supported and works.

3) Not an issue.

1A) Lucky you! I can't get CL to report more than one, but if I unplug CLCC-I then it reports CLCC-S.

1B) CL seems to think CLCC-I and CLCC-S are the same CLCC when they are not which is yet another bug.

1C) http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=745059 states "There is a debug mode for the software I believe. Let me try to find the thread I thought I saw with how to enable". I am still waiting.

1D) HWINFO also reports all my CL hardware, better still as it implements Global\Access_CorsairLink support both HWiNFO and SIV can do this at the same time.

2A) Clearly my H110iGT did not. It reported the temperature, but not the fans or pump.

2B) To get it back I needed to power cycle it so I assume the firmware crashed.

2C) Does the H110iGT have a firmware watchdog? If not one should to be added.

3) Yes it is as I pointed out in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=729115. From your reply I should I deduce Corsair won't or can't fix their code?

4) No, v3.1.5677 fixes the locking and is therefore much better than the earlier v3.1 releases. See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=790485.

5) No and given I have an H110iGT this can't be the case. Below you can see I have 7 x CL bridges and what is connected via each bridge.

6) Is CL 3.1.5667 meant to support my old link commander, cooling nodes and H80? As you can see above it seems to work and the Cooling Node firmware does not have the bug I reported in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=757703.

7) Will CL 4 support my old link commander, cooling nodes and H80?

I suspect the following may be more obvious.

How many is multiple please? Two or more than two? I realise knowing the exact limit is tricky (http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=794763). Is there an inbuilt limit of two?

With 4 x CLCC connected the setup is as below. It's now been 3 weeks since I answered your request for information on how my devices are connected. Was this helpful to you and have you managed to figure out why CL 3.1.5667 reported two of your CLCCs, but only one on my CLCCs?

When CL 3.2.5676 reported two of my CLCCs I started to wonder. I am intrigued to know what Abraham Lincoln (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/a/abrahamlin110340.html) would think.
