gastoneatseggs Posted October 8, 2020 Share Posted October 8, 2020 Hello, I have purchased a new MP900 drive but am getting slow read and write speeds. ***system info*** MP900 Firmware EGFM11.3 Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero Slot into (from Moba website): M2_2 socket supports PCIe 3.0 x 4 M key design and type 2242/2260/2280/22110 PCIe and SATA storage devices Processor: Intel I7-7700 ***benchmarks*** Read 1737 mb/s Write 1738 mb/s I am expecting 5000 mb/s as advertised. I have downloaded corsair SSD toolkid and updated firmware. I have also tried clean wipe and re-updating firmware. Speeds are still slow. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted October 8, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 8, 2020 Your system is only PCIe 3.0 so you will not see the advertised PCIe 4.0 speeds. Further check your motherboard's PCIe lane breakdown by connector. Based on those numbers it looks like you have the drive plugged into a M.2 slot going through the chipset and not a full PCIe x4 connection.
