GoblinWizard
Hi, It's my first post here do I'd like to welcome everyone! I've recently bought CSSD-F60B2-BRKT drive and made some tests. Some results below: The second half of the disk has stable transfer @220 mb/s. On first half transfer is very unstable and fluctuates. The next two images shows the problem too: Is it normal or my drive is damaged? Should I return this drive to the retailer? My specs: Win 7 32-bit Asus P5N-E SLI C2D E4500 2.2 GHz 4GB RAM
Synbios
Results look pretty good but benchmark it using ATTO (links on left) and we can see if you're running at optimal speed.
GoblinWizard
Thanks for the answer. Maybe it looks good but I worry about these transfer drops on the first half of the drive. Should it be stable @220 mb/s transfer through entire disk? Pic from ATTO
Synbios
Please fill out your system specs fully in your profile using the link on the left. Your write speed is a little low, what controller are you using on your board and do you have it in AHCI mode?
GoblinWizard
Specs added. I've checked windows settings: AHCI - enabled, TRIM - enabled. Controller...hmm.... SB - nForce 430i. I can't find AHCI in bios. There is no such an option (I know where it should be because I found it in my laptop's bios).
Synbios
No need to enable AHCI in BIOS, if it's enabled in Windows then it's enabled. Traditionally the nForce south bridges are not as fast as Intel's so that may be why your write speed is a little below average but I don't think the drive is faulty.
