Question Neutron GTX Firmware M306 vs M311 What's Changed?

What are the fixes in the M311 Firmware vs the M306 for the Neutron GTX drives?

Thanks

+1 This would be very helpful!

Checked the Sticky thread "Latest firmware version History for every SSD"

...oh wait - it's over 1 year out of date.

rkodey - look at the edit date at the bottom. I last edited it 3 months ago.

trickmasterpc - I'll inquire if there's a public change log.

Thanks - although unless I'm totally missing something, the last post says: 06-01-2012
Or, is there a different thread that I'm not seeing?

Ah, I see - inside the thread. I was looking at the list view.

Anyway, the info itself seems to be out of date, as Neutron Series GTX shows "Original firmware" - when it's gone through a bunch of updates. M310 to M311 is the most recent, I guess. I'd like to know what's changing before applying the update.
Thanks!

I am working on getting some release notes but it's like pulling teeth due to NDA.

I can say that there are no performance based changes/increases. So far, all I have is "internal bug fixes". If our NDA allows, we will post more specific info. If it does not, that's all we have for now.

So, you can decide for yourself to update or not to update. We have tested it and for us to our thorough criteria, it's stable. But, you may also want to abide by the old maxim; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Well, that's still a big help even if you can't get more info - thanks!

Yea - I was thinking the same "if it ain't broke". But, of course the possibility of new features is always enticing! :)

Can you at least confirm presence of AES256 encryption feature? I am seeing now in Corsair SSD Toolbox in the Features field something called Security. I do not remember if it was present or not in M310.

Thanks!

Sooo....does anyone know what the differences are yet? I must be blind or something because I still can't find any info...release notes, something? I looked at the sticky thread at up but it still doesn't tell me what changes have been made...

"Internal bug fixes" is the only info we have for now.
