HI
I want to remove one of my H100's from an older PC to use it in a newer one, Windows 7 keeps returning an I/O error when restarting the system after removing the H100 and re-installing the stock CPU cooler Any suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks |

You shouldn't have to remove anything. The H100 uses no software s your error has to be coming from something else.
It's possible the stock cooler isn't sitting correctly on your CPU. Remove and remount and see if that doesn't change anything.

is the link software returning the error? a simple removal of the cooler cannot cause a windows error as my esteemed colleague has pointed out
