knipper
Hello. I plan on getting a new PC soon and was wondering about a couple things. 1. Can the ML120 fans run at zero RPM by themselves like they have the capability of doing on the AIOs? 2. Can i customise their RPM via iCUE by simply plugging them into a motherboard fan connector or do i need a commander pro? Thanks for any help! c-attack
The ML fans are capable of starting from a zero state, but it’s the controller that really matters for this. Not all of them will allow you to do this. The Commander will allow you to set a 0 rpm speed with a turn n at a specific temperature. The CUE software cannot co-opt your motherboard fan control. In order to control fan speed, they must be connected to a Corsair fan controller like the Commander or those on “i” device AIO coolers.
