GhostHuntr
Hi, I'm getting a full Hydro X setup through the doors in a few days, but now I notice that the XG7 2080 has a Rev. B version. I have the MSI 2080 Super Ventus OC (NON-XS), and as far as I remember XG7 2080 (FE) was compatible, but now I need the Rev. B? Do I really need to change to the Rev. B or can I use the first version?
Salsiccia
I bumped into this issue with my card just a couple of weeks ago: https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=192213 Different card, but same problem. In my case the Rev B wasn't available in my country so I went with the original block and it fitted fine, but haven't tested yet.
tiborrr
Super Ventus apparently has DP connector instead of USB type C (see below) on the bottom I/O corner, hence the DP connector will collide with the aluminum cover thus preventing installation. You need Rev.B for your Super Ventus OC, i.e. the CX-9020009 block: https://www.corsair.com/p/CX-9020009-WW P.S.: Always check http://www.customcoolingconfigurator.com (y)
GhostHuntr
Tiborr, thanks. I got the Rev. B now, so now I'm trying to sell my Rev. A :)
StaticAttack
I just returned my 2080 Super Ventus OC (2 days left thanks to holiday return window) and purchased the FE that's back in stock at Best Buy. When I was trying to fit the Rev B block to the card it didn't look close to lining up properly, also the PCB was way taller than the block. The whole thing didn't look right at all. Luckily I was still within the return window and I wanted the FE more anyways.

What you probably actually had was a Super Ventus XS OC, which has taller PCBA: https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-RTX-2080-SUPER-VENTUS-XS-OC

The box didn't show any XS branding on it, but the link you provided also doesn't show it either. Regardless, I returned it for the FE which I wanted in the first place. Now I just need the time to finish the build. Also contemplating white plastidip for the GPU cooler to match my build.
