ForgiveAngel
I just my strafe about one week and loving it. I also love the reactive ripple typing. However, I would like the reverse the effect where the keyboard is completely lit and the ripple effect turns off the LED.
krazykid
Thats not reverse. that would just be a black ripple.. Reverse would be the ripple going in towards where you pressed instead of out.
Superbenas
Yeah, reverse ripple is something that I would really like to have on my non-rgb strafe. Is there actually no possible way to do that as of right now?
Jkraghify
Let's clear up terminology. A reverse ripple is when you press a key, and the ripple moves backwards toward the key pressed. A black ripple is a ripple that turns LEDs off instead of changing them to another color. Reverse ripple - not possible in CUE as of today. Black Ripple - possible for as long as i remember. You just choose black as the color

Jkraghify
Alright, thanks for clearing that up. Tried googling and messing around in the CUE, but no luck finding/creating that black ripple effect... Any help? sure thing! There are two ways I know how to create a black ripple. You can create your own type-lighting ripple, or use the ripple preset found in the standard effects. Method 1 - Using Effects Built into CUE Difficulty - 1/5 In the mode you want to have a black ripple, open the "Effect" drop down menu and select "Type Lighting (Ripple)" http://i.imgur.com/nS4owXN.png Click on the edit pencil on the right of the drop down menu, and you will see this screen. http://i.imgur.com/GHJZa0c.png Change your settings on the left to match mine, then set your desired speed. http://i.imgur.com/SneOCRv.png Method 2 - Use the Foreground Lighting Editor Difficulty - 3/5 I would highly recommend learning to use the advanced options in CUE. Using CUE in advanced mode allows for nearly endless personalization at the expense of learning the software. Ok. To create your own custom ripple effect, click on the hamburger icon next to the mode you are trying to edit. Select "Reactive Lighting", and "Ripple". http://i.imgur.com/DvMu1nt.png You will be greeted by the Foreground Lighting Editor. Right clicking in the foreground lighting editor allows you to add new markers and to edit the colors of existing markers. The benefit here is you can choose any color for any marker, and fine tune the speed, size, and duration of the ripple effect. http://i.imgur.com/7puSkxY.png In this picture, I am showing the menu that appears when you right click. All the markers in the editor should be changed to black.
