BatJoe
I have the new Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB memory and am using the Rain effect with random colors. There are only options for the effect to DOWN or UP. It would be nice if you could add the ability to have the effect go DOWN and then UP and repeat. c-attack
Well, then it wouldn't be rain. Maybe a tornado. I think we are all up for more effect choices and options though. Have you tried out Inside Out yet? It might be closer to what you want.
LeSnakk
Why don't you just apply the effect twice? Then set the first one to UP and the second one to DOWN.
c-attack
You'll need to be in "software mode" to stack any kind of effects. That comes as at a pretty high resource cost if you use the machine for other heavy tasks.
BatJoe
Yes I would like to avoid software mode.
Gronar
What's the issue with running it in software mode?
c-attack
It uses a fair amount of CPU power/commit. It will be CPU dependent (and possibly effect as well), but it comes in around 12% on my 8700K. It's a tick box in the Settings menu under the RAM tab. When unticked, iCUE will save the effect to the RAM each time you apply something. This is why there is that little delay when you change effects and also why you can't stack more than one. That is something I can live with vs 12%. Gronar
Hmm, it's only using around 3% on my 2600X. I can live with that, doesn't seem to be affecting anything.
