ETermin
I am having stuttering on the Corsair SSD listed above, I have applied the regedit fix for ACHI mode but still receive stuttering. I have also tried derfragmentng the drive. This is a clean install of windows 7 x64 ultimate after a secure erase. The main board being used is a MS-7525 and is in the primary sata connection. Is there anything else that would stop the stuttering? The solid state is brand new but not longer carried. when benchmark is done I will add graph
Toasted
Make sure AHCI is enabled in the BIOS Latest BIOS and chipset drivers?
ETermin
did not update bios as the only update makes the geforce 210 more compatible. HP/compaq boards are supposed to have it already enabled. other wise the only option i have is to enable/ disable sata1 controller. This is why I did the registry version. and what chipset would i have to look at updating?
Toasted
The drivers for the chipset. You can find it in the OEM website. If you can't enable AHCI in the BIOS that may be a problem as in the past, users have fixed their issue (nearly the same) by enabling AHCI in the BIOS. Toasted
The G31 chipset is a graphics and memory chipset. The motherboard probably doesn't support AHCI if it's not in the BIOS or HP disabled the option for enabling AHCI. I'd contact HP and ask if your motherboard supports AHCI. ETermin
it is but it isn't. it naturally supports it but it is locked out by hp/compaq.
Toasted
If it's locked out by HP then there really isn't much you can do.
ETermin
thanks anyways. only option i had seen was modifying the bios. and It being a HP bios seems to of made it that much worse for people to modify.
