Scimitar RGB Mouse wheel problem

There's a certain point in a full 360° rotation downwards where the scroll wheel becomes hard and rough to move. The mouse wheel feels fine when scrolling up.

Had the mouse for a couple of months now and just started to have this issue.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Nothing has ever spilt on the mouse. I tried using a compressed air can on the mouse wheel and the issue still persists.

Is there a way to open the mouse up?

Yes, but you will invalidate the warranty. You also have to be careful not to crack the casing of damage the ribbon cables inside, which will most likely need to be disconnected to properly separate the casing. After that, you will also need to know what you're doing and whether or not you can come up with a custom fix.

You will most likely need a torx screwdriver. They're the screws used on the M65 and I assume they used them in your mouse too.

i have the same issue. this is my 2nd mouse (first one had a firmware issue), and I didn't have it on my first one.

i have the feeling it started recently. i opened up the mouse and removed as all the hair/dust etc but the problem is still there.

only as you describe ONLY after about 355 degrees and ONLY when scrolling down

WTF is wrong with this mouse
