bsanders03
Question... I have a h150i and I am curious about the preapplied thermal paste. Should I just use this the way it is, or remove it and add something else. If so, how do I remove it? From the pics below it looks to be like a sticker?? Not actual paste. Any help or advice would be great.
Krokarn
It works as it should, to applicate a better paste may give you maybe 1-2 degrees celcius lower temp.

Any help or advice would be great. Corsair uses excellent pre-applied paste so the original application should work right out of the box. The reason the paste looks like a sticker is because it was applied at the factory using a stencil. This leaves exacting lines that may appear to be similar to a sticker. The easiest way to remove old paste is to use a high-proof isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher). You can also use Arctic Clean 1 & 2. Do not use soap and water. If you use orange-based cleaners, you need a surface purifier to remove residue left from the cleaning agent. Pretty much any thermal paste will do, although there are a few that stand out for various reasons, but nothing earth-shattering. Apply as much as is needed to cover the IHS.
