H115i PRO Install Questions

I'm building a new computer (19-9900k based) and I am using a H115i PRO for cooling but I am having an issue with the install of the system. I have the plastic back mounting piece on and the correct bolts (LGA 115X/1366 Standoff Bolts) installed but the back piece is lose. The bolts are completely tightened down but it still has a lot of play back and forth. I figure that when I put on the actual cooling block, it will tighten down. I have installed an H50 in the past and I had no issues.

I have looked online a lot but I see where people are either saying that it will tighten up once the block is installed and then I have also read about people using rubber washers. I really don't want to use the washers because the system wasn't designed that way and I can imaging that the washer will eventually deteriorate.

Any advice on installing the 115i would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, I am using a MSI MPG Z390 Gaming PRO Carbon AC motherboard if this helps.

You shouldn't need extra washers and the pump/block will tighten down when the thumbscrews go on. I have not seen any specific complaints on that motherboard. The bracket is for weight distribution and as an anchor point. Preferable not to nail it to the mast. Too much socket pressure is serious problem. Better to err on the side of caution when judging clamping force or pressure. Edited by c-attack
