Hard so say since you've not filled out your system specs but, TBH, on a mainstream CPU, you shouldn't see much, if any, difference between Balanced and Extreme. c-attack Posted May 24, 2019 Share Posted May 24, 2019 It’s normal to hear the pump at 3000 rpm and no pump is silent at that speed. On the other hand, for your cpu you are not likely to see even a 1C change between Balanced and Extreme, so you might as well put at 2160 rpm and leave it. Find the lowest pump / fan speeds that can keep your fluid temp in the mid-30's under load and you'll be fine :D: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
c-attack Posted May 24, 2019 Share Posted May 24, 2019 Minimum coolant temperature will always be determined by case ambient temperature, so it is difficult to give a narrow, specific range. The rise in coolant temperature under load should be consistent for given given settings, so that part is more predictable.
