Hopefully, that works and it's not the cable wire itself - which sometimes happens and then requires an RMA for the whole unit since its permanently attached.

Double check that you reconnected the SATA power connector from the pump head to a SATA power connection on your power supply. I've missed that little step previously when I swapped out a PSU.

Again, I don't think there is any issue here adding bottom fans. I have an LL fan in intake position below my 2080ti and it actually contributes to cooling the GPU. Made a 5C difference in my setup.
