  1. Sounds like you need to exchange it.
  2. The battery in mine was never really good. Yours seems to be losing capacity just like mine did over the same time period. I am not sure if that is tied in with the use of iCue

    HS80 earpads

Yeah, I have a HS70 Pro and right after the warranty, the earcups and headband deteriorated all at once. The battery never charged over 90% and finally couldn't hold a charge. I was able to replace the battery, not an easy task, and the ear pads. Replacing the headband is a big job so I thought a new headset was in order. I was looking at the HS80 but with the earpad issues, I am having second thoughts.....

    HS80 earpads

I had read in another thread some time ago they were looking into the issue but sounds like they haven't found a solution. This is definitely not the Corsair of old. Lots of substandard gear and poor customer service. The days of RamGuy and Yellowbeard are missed.

    HS80 earpads

I know the earpads were pulling apart and delaminating due to poor glue adhesion, has that been resolved?
  6. Asus also likes to break Armoury Crate every other update. The latest update made my Maximus XI Formula uncontrollable. Can't change lighting on and off states (always on), OLED Live Dash can't be changed. I don't have RGB ram on this system, but my AMD rig does, and I can't control them at the moment. Same thing happened 2 updates ago, took a month of updates to get everything working again only to have it messed up again. So it is not always an iCue issue....
  7. You can buy replacement earcups at amazon but that doesn't solve the QC issue of these headsets. From the Corsair's response, looks like they may send you some new earcups if you contact them.
  8. You're lucky your battery lasted that long. You can buy a replacement battery from amazon and there is a video on how to replace it on YouTube. It's not terribly difficult but is delicate work due to the thin wires.
  9. Are they ripping away or just slipping off the ear cups? They look ripped from the picture. I am finding Corsair's headset quality has declined in recent years. I bought a pair of HS70 Pros and the battery was junk from the get go, never charged above 92% and wouldn't last longer than 10 hours then less than 6 in short order. The earcups deteriorated to the point I had to buy replacements along with a new battery....
  10. I recently replaced the battery with this kit. Should have come with some heat shrink tubes. You have to cut the red and black wire in the middle and splice them together in reverse.... red to black on both and leave the white alone. Place the heat shrink before twisting the wires. Use a little torch or lighter to shrink the tube over the exposed wire. If you are good at soldering, you can just reverse the wires at the battery side, Should work fine after that...

    HS70 pro

My original battery never got above 92% charge then declined in performance rather quickly over a year. I actually replaced it myself last month. Not an entirely easy process. The connector from the old battery has to be spliced into the new battery and all the wires are thin. You have to be very careful. In any event, the new battery gets to 100% charge and lasts a good 12+ hours
  12. I just purchased a Katar Pro Wireless for my laptop. It is not detected in iCue when using Bluetooth mode. Is this by design or is the mouse defective? Wireless mode is fine and mouse has been updated to latest firmware.
  13. I have been using corsair for 20 years and I have only had to RMA 1 item which was a h115i that failed after 4 years. I still have a working h50 that I bought in 2010. I did buy some RAM at a garage sale and one stick didn't work. They still replaced it for me. If its new, go exchange it or RMA and get a replacement, they will take care of it.
  14. Asus released a bios update for my x570 Crosshair viii hero that addresses a keyboard device issue... I dunno what that exactly fixes but perhaps there is an update for your prime board that might be worth looking in to
  15. The 3-pin connector plugs into your CPU fan header on the motherboard. That only provides RPM info to the motherboard so the bios knows you have a cpu "fan" otherwise the system may not boot or give you a CPU fan is missing error. You then have 2 PWM fan connectors coming off the pump which is where you will plug the 2 fans that are on the radiator. Then you have a connector that comes off the pump and plugs into a USB header on your motherboard. This has be to connected to control anything which based on your screen shots it is. Then under the settings tab in iCue, you can see if there is a firmware update for that particular device so check that and update if needed. you can also check to see if you have the latest iCue verson on that screen. If everything is hooked up correctly and you still can't control your fans, then perhaps the units is defective and needs to be replaced.
