  1. Yeah! I saw the 4000D and think it looks great! My main concern would be my RAM, I am currently using Corcair Vengeance RGB Pro and in reviews and such they are recommending low profile RAM for clearance. As silly as it is, I would hate to have to ditch perfectly good RGB RAM in order to get the LPX just to clear the H115i at the top. With the H115i install as a top exhaust, are the top of your DIMMS tucked in behind the fans and rad at the top?
  2. Hey all, Looking for recommendations on a case that would easily house the H115i Platinum in a top mount exhaust configuration. Looking for one with the glass side panel of course and good airflow as well. What would you guys recommend?
  3. Normally I have ran it on balanced. After reading the forums, I have tried moving the PC to different positions and setting it from quiet to extreme to try and get the bubbles or whatever is causing the issue to go away and the vibration and noise still comes and goes. I would almost say that it is louder at times after doing that. One of the main reasons I went with the H115i setup was that it was listed as one of the most quiet units out there. It was until all of this started up. I tell ya, it is pretty frustrating that we are almost a week in and not even a response from Corsair other than the 'A support representative will be in contact with you within 2 business days.' in the initial automated Zendesk email response with the ticket #. If you have implemented a new support ticket system, and know that you are a few days behind, just change the auto-response form to let your customers know that you are out a few days instead of advising them of one thing and knowing that the real answer is something else. Things like this make me question my other Corsair purchases like my Keyboard, mouse, and headset. What if something goes wrong with them within the warranty period and I have to go through something like this all again. :brick:
  4. That is very similar to the sound that mine has started to make from time to time as well, except it is more of a gurgling noise. It does not do it all the time, but it is sure annoying when it does it!
  5. Greetings! I purchased my H115I Pro Platinum back in may and it has been working great up until recently. Last week I powered up my system and was surprised to hear the cooler making gurgling noises like it was sucking bubbles or something through the pump. I powered the system down and left it for a bit and powered it back up and the gurgling noises were much less pronounced, but there was a low hum/vibration coming from the pump head. I again powered down my system, let it sit for about an hour and powered it up again. Everything seemed to sound okay, but I did notice that my CPU temps fluctuate quite a bit now even when it is just idling. Normal temps were in the mid 30s with the typical spikes up into the 40s when something used the CPU, but they would drop right back down. Now I am seeing temps that can start in the 30s, and then spike up into the 40s and 50s and stay there for a while even with the CPU idle. The coolant temps also spike pretty quickly at this point, up into the high 40s and low 50s sometimes. Sometimes everything seems to work as it did before and I see the spikes and then the CPU cools right back down. I do notice that the gurgling and vibration sound do come and go as well. Sometimes everything is silent, sometimes the vibration and the gurgling noises come back. I am thinking something is amiss with either the pump or the coolant level in the unit itself. I submitted a ticket on Friday, hopefully I hear back from Corsair soon as this is driving me a bit nuts with the noises and temps. Has anyone else had similar issues?
  6. I'm running an H115i Platinum on a Ryzen 2700x and it is doing an awesome job using the balanced out of the box settings. Even on long CPU intensive encoding runs, my CPU holds at about 55c and the coolant temp runs at about 33c. The pump that I got is whisper quiet even on the extreme setting, but I figure that if I an seeing acceptable temps with the balanced pump speed at around 2400rpm, why even bother and turn it up to the extreme setting...
  7. Ok, I uninstalled HWinfo. Got the portable version and can report that I have had no black screen crashes since then. I did also turn off the Corsair stuff in HWinfo as well.
  8. Thanks for the info, I appreciate the quick response. Looking through other posts in the forum, it may have been something else that could have been the black-screen lockup issue as well. I've always run HWinfo to monitor other system temps/data as well. I use the non-portable version and I have not told HWinfo to not monitor Corsair items. First, I am going to try and uninstall HWinfo and get the portable version and make sure it is not monitoring Corsair information and give that a try before I try and rename the .dll files. From what I have read, the portable version is a bit better about not having things loaded in the background when it is stopped. I imagine that running HWinfo and iCUE could have been causing an issue where HWinfo and iCUE were trying to access the same point at the same time and causing the hardware or some subsystem to go into a fault state. It would be nice if there was a way to have iCUE display that system/hardware information(temps, fan & pump RPMs, coolant temp...) in a smaller window than the entire iCUE window, or even better, in the notification area with a hover-over icon that would give you the information that you have selected to be monitored in iCUE. Edited to add: I do have the latest firmware, BIOS, iCUE, and hardware drivers installed.
  9. Just started having this issue when I installed an H115I Pro Platinum RGB into my system. Mind you that I have been running iCUE for a year plus with my keyboard, mouse, and headset without any issues. It ran fine for a day or so as well after I installed the H115i Pro Platinum RGB. Once I started adding in monitors into the dashboard (H115i, CPU & motherboard sensors) is when things went south and I started getting the black screen lock ups and the system freezing to the point that I had to power it off with the PSU. To make it even more scary, after a couple of the crashes, my Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard would try to reboot, and then would fail to even POST and was showing an error with the CPU by hanging on the CPU LED on the motherboard diagnostics test. This sounds like a known issue with the current and past versions of the iCUE software, which is kind of a major bummer as I was considering swapping out my RAM and entire RGB setup to be corsair as well so that I would be able to control everything from iCUE. Now I am kind of having second thoughts about that and even considering returning the H115i, even though it works amazingly well at cooling my system. ( An unstable system isn't worth much, no matter how cool it runs ) I guess my main question right now is, in the meantime, while I decide if I am going to start the return process and look elsewhere for a solution. If I rename the .dll files that others have mentioned, does the H115i go off the coolant temp to control fan speed or does it go off of the actual tdie temp and will I still be able to control the RGB in my current Corsair products if I rename those .dll files? Thank you in advance for any answers to my questions.
