I mounted the LED strips by gluing magnets to the back of the screen: https://imgur.com/gallery/4PltYqs This means that if I find an SDK app that would work better with the light strips arranged in some other order I can just change them around. I also cut off the SATA power connector. I used a multimeter to work out which pins were connected to which wires, then wired the two ground wires and the +5V wire to an external power supply and left the +12V wire unconnected: https://imgur.com/gallery/SEHrdWi This is quite a lot less bulky than using a complete PC PSU or even using a 5V adapter with a SATA connector on it. It seems the +12V isn't necessary, at least for my setup with only 4 LED strips. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
