  1. That's great thanks I was thinking of using the gigabyte z390 aorus elite as it gets the highest reviews consistently, even rated better than some more expensive mobo's. It has 2 usb 2.0 headers and a usb 3.1 and usb 3.1 type c, so I'm assuming I can just use the 2 x usb 2.0 headers. I'm sure the mobo could handle fan speeds, especially as I'm not overclocking and a case this big with these fans should have no problem keeping cool :) . But I think I will buy a commander after seeing the diagrams in your FAQ thread, as it seems easier to take control of fan speeds, I think 5 pulling and 3 pushing should create a nice gentle positive pressure and the 2 fans on the bottom of the case should be putting plenty of cool air over the gpu. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, the diagrams and videos are invaluable, but your answers helped even more. I'm confident of what I need to order and what instructions to add
  2. Thanks for the reply, I've been checking your videos :) So if I have 6 aRGB fans and an h100i RGB platinum cooler... the fans will all run using the nodes/ hubs that come with the 680x case and with the 3 fan kit and I can control their rgb using icue? will there be enough ports for the aio rgb to also plug in or will that need to go through the mobo (gigabyte Aorus, not corsair compatible) would one or two commanders be needed or not unless I need specific rgb control? I ask all this because I'm currently building a spec on pcspecialist, the 680x has 3 rgb fans, the cooler has 2 rgb fans and every time I try to add a 3 fan kit, it says I have a compatibility problem and need to remove either the fan kit or the RGB cooler... I'm assuming the configurator sees 8 fans in total and perhaps the hud/node cannot run more fans, but I assume the hub/node in the case is enough to run the case fans and the aio and what hub/node comes with the fan kit would run the 3 fans or daisy chain off the case node/ hub... perhaps the configurator is assuming I am ordering the fan kit by mistake or maybe it knows I will need a commander 2... I'm not sure, although I have seen cases with 12 fans, so I thought 6 and 2 on the aio would be fine.
  3. I just saw my mates rgb case and got bitten by the bug :) but I really need help to know what to buy. I'm buying the corsair crystal 680X case. it comes with 3 LL120 fans and 1 non rgb fan I intend to replace with 1 of the 3 from an LL120 kit I'm also going to use a h100i RGB platinum cooler... so I will be using 8 fans (including the 2 on the aio). So I have a few questions 1. What do I need to control all of these 8 fans? 2. do the fans on the h100i only work together in RGB or can I control the RGB individually... I want to make all 8 fans run in a sequence in some profiles but don't want both aio fans to work as 1 fan. Also, now I'm thinking about adding some corsair led strip lighting as well Apologies if this subject has already been discussed to infinity before and Thanks in advance
