  1. Hi mate. I hope you can see the logic in what you just wrote hahaha... What is the point of the auto-shutdown, if it doesn't shut down the headset when you shut down the PC? When iCue gets a message from the PC to close, because it's shutting down, then the headset should shut down. This clearly does happen because I can shut down my PC and 8/10 times it will shut down the headset as iCue closes. However, the 2/10 times it doesn't (like last night, where my fully charged headset was running all night and is now on 10% charge in the morning) are clearly bugged behaviour.

Today I charged my headset in the morning, and it's now on 16% - not because the battery is past its prime, but because I've told my PC to shut off twice today and twice the headset has remained on, with the RGB lights spinning, draining my battery. Why is it that the shutdown signal from iCue does nothing to instruct the headset to turn off.
  3. I've had this headset for 2 years now and in this time, I've never had a Firmware update and have the same issues on whichever version of iCue I happen to be on. In short; The headset doesn't properly detect audio and sometimes plays the "I'm going to auto-shut off soon" beep, while I'm watching a movie or game. I have to flick the mic boom down and up again to reset it, but after 10 minutes or so, it does it again. The worst issue is that the headset just doesn't turn off when the PC turns off. This happens about 40% of the time I switch my PC off. I have no idea why when iCue closes, it doesn't send a "shutdown" signal to the headset. Sometimes the headset won't properly connect and you have to kind of erratically raise and lower the mic to force it to look for an audio transmitter It also seems like long-standing iCue issues such as preventing the PC from sleeping also go totally unfixed across iCue 3/4... Such a shame.
  4. As am I. This **** has been around 2 years before I joined and even now long after. As soon as you turn off/remove iCue your PC can sleep again, and CPU temps stop spiking. Really a shame. I think they need to just pull the plug and design something from the ground up.
  5. As far as I'm aware, they're not breaking any ToS or infringing on copyright. Without any other at all, OpenRGB detects my: Corsair K70 Keyboard H100i Cooler Vengeance Pro RGB RAM Asus Prime X370 Pro Motherboard Steelseries Rival 100 Mouse EVGA GTX 1070 Ti FTW GPU (I don't have this any more but it did work with OpenRGB) It effortlessly runs, allows you to change LED's too all colours, sync devices and has some rudimentary effects. And the best part? It does this with ZERO additional software installed. Corsair really seems to struggle in this regard and it's just such a shame. You have to faff around with additional software and then a beta link software to get Asus motherboards LED working. There's just zero compatability for Steelseries mice. GPU's? Unless it's Asus, forget it. How is it, that a group of complete amateurs with limited coding experience, can group together on Discord and produce beta software that outstrips Corsair's stability, CPU presence and compatability? OpenRGB is on release v0.6 and each time new features get added. Don't get me wrong, they can't even hold a candle to the breadth of lighting effects Corsair provides, but it's kind of ruined when the visor effect skips over my Steelseries mouse or my Asus Motherboard LED strip. Or when I get a rainbow effect and it clashes with the rainbow effect that the motherboard plays by default. I had really hoped that the 4.0 version of iCue would give some much-needed compatability. They're just LED's on a product that can be addressed via software - what's so difficult?
  6. I don't really like this, I feel like everyone has reverb when they speak. It makes it very hard to concentrate in game. Any way to turn it off? I want 5.1 for better footstep audio in Warzone (any tips on that, by the way?) Thanks.

  8. Cheers, What do I do with my glass? :( I originally got Corsair to send me some screws as one of the screws has never been able to affix to the case properly, it turns out that on the actual case, the thread for the screw hole is buggered and I can't screw anything in to it :(
  9. Hi everyone. Hoping Corsair can get me out of this jam. I have a plexiglass 275R which I bought in 2018. In that time, unfortunately I seem to have scuffed the inside of the plexiglass somehow and it shows up when the RGB stuff in my case shines. I've built a couple PC's for friends now using the 275R Tempered Glass, and I always thought the glass looks much nicer. So I decided to buy a tempered glass panel for the 275R. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit! The location of the screw holes are ever so slightly different. I'm now stuck with a panel of glass :( big RIP. SKU CC-8900206 Carbide 275R Tempered Glass Side Panel
  10. I've noticed that my Print Screen and "S" key are slightly different colours than the surrounding keys. I've also had the key stem snap off from the dash at the top right of the keyboard. Seems mine was not made up to the quality I'd normally expect from Corsair - such a shame!

For the record I used iCue 3 for about half a year, but it had poor 3rd party RGB support, stopped my PC from going to sleep, crashed constantly when running PUBG, used 2-5% of CPU constantly, plus lots of small issues like void pro headset cutting in and out etc. Since then I've switched to OpenRGB and it's a great piece of kit purely for lighting control. I have a Corsair keyboard, Steelseries mouse, an EVGA GPU, Asus Motherboard & Corsair RAM and they're all supported, however I am missing the 7.1 of my iCue headset. I would like to use iCue again, but I'm seeing page after page of software issues even with the new v4 which I believe was being built from the ground up, as the previous software was built by an external party and that's where I believed all the issues to have arisen from. However it seems like it's still causing FPS issues, random crashes, hardware problems etc and I'm wary about installing it again.
  12. I periodically come back to iCue forums to see progress and unfortunately it seems the front page is constantly filled with errors, bugs, old issues resurfacing. It's kind of validating my decision to just remove iCue entirely and go to Open RGB to control lighting my system & components, even though it's no where near as feature rich as iCue. There were a laundry list of issues I had with iCue such as: Small list of 3rd party components and peripheral LED detection Preventing system sleep Taking up way too many CPU cycles Glitchy headset auto-shutdown Crashing in certain games (PUBG) I guess the main issue was the absurd CPU & RAM it took up just to colour some keyboard lights dynamically? In addition preventing my PC from sleeping really bothered me. I love the idea behind iCue and it has so much potential but the way that it was built by a 3rd party separate from Corsair and has such a plethora of simple and repeating issues is a massive red flag to me. I'm glad to hear Corsair are building an in-house "2.0" of iCue and am wondering how it's going. Cheers
  13. Honestly I really appreciate the acknowledgement. I'm also talking to someone on reddit about the same issue. For now, I'm using OpenRGB to give myself some rudimentary control over my hardware lighting, but I do miss the ability to use fancy effects. However, my PC has now for the first time since having iCue installed been able to successfully go to sleep. iCue is a total CPU hog (for what it does) and it prevents PC's from entering sleep states. This has probably cost me quite a lot in electricity and it's unacceptable. When I see these issues fixed I will happily reinstall. For now I do recommend OpenRGB. Just a side note, OpenRGB is able to control the colouration of my Steelseries Rival 100 mouse, with no manufacturer software installed whatsoever. If iCue can take this and expand on it, to support other hardware, that would be incredible. Right now OpenRGB can control lighting for: ASUS, ASRock, Corsair, G.Skill, Gigabyte, HyperX, MSI, Razer, ThermalTake, and more supported All with ZERO manufacturer software installed. It's a real shame that every major manufacturer has RGB products available, and every major manufacturer requires their own specific brand of software. iCue could lead the field in being the one central hub to control these devices. You recently partnered with Asus and this was a first great step, I'd like to see this extended towards EVGA too. Thanks again.
