  1. That's something at least! Thanks for the update. How about the main issue reported in this thread? Do the graphs still suddenly flatline when using custom curves?
  2. With over 4 years of investigation into this issue, and almost 2 years since the last comment by you guys, I wondered if you have any updates? This issue continues to exist, and you've always maintained that you are continuing to investigate, have had quite a few log sets posted, and it's easy to reproduce. Additionally, how does one use a new Corsair product alongside an old product, since it's not possibel to have both the old and new iCue installed, yet neither version supports all products? The last major update was when the previous thread was closed, while pretending (ie, lying) that the impacted products were discontinued, when in fact they were still selling on your own website at the time the post was made.
  3. @Corsair Nick @Greybeard Any news on this? Pretty sure we're almost at 4 years now, all the time you've been looking at it, and never once given an update? Has this been resolved?
  4. @PinKin Some people find improvement if not using any custom profiles, and instead using the stock options; so quiet or extreme, from memory. Corsiar have proven they will never fix core issues with their products, and have no interest in even feigning effort. I would be very cautious, as once the graphs stop updating then you'll also find that if temps increase then fan speeds will NOT adapt; which could result in oveheating or even component damage as a result of this problem. The best solution though is to stop supporting Corsair by using different products, to show this is not acceptable.
  5. Glad it helped for you, however, I started getting the issues before version 3.25.60, as that was released early 2020. I've had this issue for 2 years, and others have had it for longer. Plus, I think that version would trigger some anti-cheat, due to some old libraries it uses.
  6. And don't forget at the time they opened the thread the so-called legacy products were still for sale, too! That means people who bought products back in September could already be left with a CPU cooler not working on the latest software. Additionally, if you get any new device that needs iCue 4 then you're also screwed, since it doesn't allow you to run both iCue 3 and iCue 4 on the same system! All this while they've had threads for at least 3 years describing the issue, countless log submissions, and claim it's being investigated. It annoys me that they have some good products, which are basically completely unsupported, purely because they want to make simple reliable configuration software, while they're able to continue to evolve the stuff I don't care about like the look of it.
  7. What did the development teams say, you must have heard back by now I would think, it's been months.
  8. So, I guess they never plan to fix this issue then, as I now see that they've released iCue 4 without support for my CPU cooler being included. This is a pretty interesing though, since it DOES include teh driver for the cooler, but it doesn't show in iCue - I guess that rather than solving the problems they've just decided to abandon the products, despie claiming to be invesgating these issues for YEARS. I see why the Corsair logo looks like a galleon; it's a pirate ship. Take the money and run.
  9. This won't be resolved soon. This has been happening for well over 2 years now, and they simply locked the previous thread on the topic.
  10. Yep. This was not them trying to help, they were merely trying to bury a 33 page thread about problems spanning for years, on products that were still being actively sold on their website right until the new threads were created, so they suddenly claim they are legacy - adding insult to injury. If they wanted to solve it they could, instead they claim unable to reproduce it, despite getting many logs, and guidance on doing so. Hell, it wouldn't be had for them to just outright build an identical system, or even offer to replace a users system for analysis - the cost to a company the size of Corsair to do that would be negligable. I believe they can reproduce it, and are simply not willing to fix it, because by the time people have the issue the sale is made. The software is pretty poor, and their attitude towards it is frustrating, because it really lets down some pretty decent hardware - which is now all excluded from options I would purchase.
  11. I see that you quickly replied when someone posted logs, however, the previous post asking for an update on the analysis/progres son this seems ot have gone unanswered, again. Please can you provide more information on what the status is? Surely after around 2 years you've been able to reproduce this now? If not, what information would help you achieve that? It seems clear that this occurs with these coolers when used with a custom fan curve. It's clearly part of the Corsair Service which stops updating, or more likely stops collecting valid data. Have CPUID been engaged on this issue? Have they provided feedback? While it's bad to have an issue like this for so long, it's far worse that the communication is so incredibly poor - it really can't be hard to set out some milestones towards a resolution, and weekly or monthly progress reports or something, at leats then it appears like R&D are doing something - Right now it appears they aren't, and it appears that even the marketing/community staff are only mildly paying attention to it at best.
  12. First, while it's great you're saying you're working on this item finally, it's disappointing that you claim the H80i V2 is Legacy, while it's still easily available at retailers, and was available direct from Corsair recently too. This product was not discontinued at or around the launch of iCue, so this just comes across as an excuse. Now with that said, there is a huge thread of data, which I have contributed to on many occasions which clearly describe the issue that I and others are having. I highly suggest reading that, but for a short version here is a summary of the issue I have with iCue using my H80i V2. When using custom fan curves (which is a must, due to the poor included curves, as there is no 'balanced' curve) the graphs in the monitoring pages 'freeze'. Not that they stop moving forward sin time, but rather that all data points show the same value, so they become flat at the last read value. This affects everything, the CPU temp, GPU temp, H80i V2 liquid temp, everything. Of course, the same data feeding these graphs is also feeding the custom fan curve, and thus it no longer controls the fan correctly, since it'd getting this frozen data. (note that I don't care for the graphs whatsoever in iCue, and would rather iCue only monitored the items it NEEDS to monitor, ie, things used in custom fan curves!) I can get the data to start updating again by stopping/starting eth corsair service, or more easily simple end tasking the process associated, and Windows will simply restart it. Now, the data updates correctly, and the custom fan curve once again works. My system specs are shown in the previous thread, which you failed to link in the original post: https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=17896 However, the short version is that it's a Z390 based Intel system, and I have changed literally every component (case, psu, gpu, mainboard, mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc), and peripheral on my machine except the cpu itself, and the issue persists. I *cannot* buy another Corsair product for the foreseeable future, which is really disappointing, as some of them look interesting, but I must assume that they'll have key issues which will go unresolved, and further that the issue could also prevent me enjoying other Corsair products, too, since my this issue ultimately prevents any of my lighting also being temperature based, which was a key reason for including the ML120 Pro and ML140 Pro fans in my case! However this current issue has been around for well over a year, the community has had to come together to narrow down the causes, and we just get told every few months that someone is looking, or that Corsair claim they can't reproduce it.
  13. Use a hardware fan curve, either Quiet or Extreme, and it'll stop happening I think. This is what happens with my H80i V2. I's stupid, one of biggest reasons for having it's USB connectivity is broken. Corsair don't care.
  14. VMware and Vitualbox both allow USB devices to be passed through. Not tried in HyperV, but I'd be a little surprised if you can't, just never had a reason to try. A quick Google suggests using Enhanced Session Mode would allow USB redirecton, and I find it's the best way to connect to the VM anyway. Mine is an H80iV2, but must be pretty old, I would guess. I got it in Nov 2018, and it was not new, but as you say, the FW does not seem to present a FW update option.
  15. If I were you I'd probably just put the iCue in a VM, and configure teh mouse in the VM. I have a Lighting Node Pro in my system, and use the lighting stuff from Corsair, and the options in Cue / Link are far far more limiting than what's in iCue though, so using Cue/Link is also not a particularly good option. I'm curious, how old is your H80iV2? I wonder if a brand new one would do the same thing - Perhaps they have done FW updates, and maybe again a reason they claim they are not able to reproduce it.
