  1. yes it is but it also ups the expectation of how good these key caps will be ... so long as there not the nasty painted "gaming" type keys that were included with the keyboards but still have a similar tactile top it will likely be worth waiting for even more so if the numbers/ icons are side by side, however at this point I'm starting to expect they will be metal keys with the details milled into them and then back filled with clear plastic for the backlit effect .... actually for a set of key caps like that which would last for a decade or more I might actually pay more than £10 for them as well (maybe as much as £35...) especially if there going to be transferable to any corsair rgb keyboard in the future, whilst I expect this one to last at least another 3 years I am fully aware that electronics fail when heavily used and longevity of the key caps would be a bonus that I could then keep using them on a new one would certainly make them a more attractive purchase (but only if they covered both uk and us 104 key layout, since it seems less and less new stuff is in the uk iso standard...)
  2. it might be a plastics problem in a certain batch it might be a location based problem caused by shipping.... some plastics don't travel well and if subjected to low or high temps or pressure changes (like say in an airplane) they will become brittle and prone to fracturing, we don't know where the keys have been before the op got to use them, if for instance a courier chucked a pallet full of keyboards In the back of plane for a night flight it could induce such problems in the plastic of only those boxes on the outer edge of the pallet, this would give a high failure rate for a handful of keyboards but leave the rest with normal expected life, if a delivery company lobbed a pallet of pc parts into a freezer container to fill up space on a transit run it could induce problems in the parts... no fault of the manufacturer if I was the op I would probably be talking to customer service to sort out getting the current keyboard replaced having that many keys fail isn't normal, having had my keyboard for almost a year and still not having any problems with the default keys it does seem odd that some folks with newer ones are having such problems
  3. yeah but then you have the problem of only the symbols at the top getting lit up ..... I find it more annoying that the gaming key caps are painted tops that chips off through normal use and you can not only no longer see what was supposed to be there, but then they were free with the keyboard .... the double shot ones you buy separately don't have the symbols on the number keys although they seem to last longer its all swings and roundabouts lol I would prefer there were 2 led's on each key for the money (one top one bottom) operating in tandem, although slightly dimmer individually so the light bleed around them isn't so bad .... that would give both halves of the keys glowing symbols and have the tactile double shot key sets fitted as standard to the whole keyboard and not offer the painted top ones except as a cheap replacement set.... maybe in the next revision of the line up in a year or two this can be done or maybe they can move the led from the top to the centre and use a see through plastic plunger instead of the solid coloured one but maybe Logitech wont let them do that because of the romer g keys doing it (cherry switches are better than romer switches in my opinion having used both for years) but hey ho things are always undergoing evolution and corsair products are no exception to this, the cue software could be combined with the clink and have all the rgb ness in one place and only one program to run (hopefully later this year) maybe in a year or so when the refresh happens this will be fixed and we will all complain the keys are printed normally lol
  4. it could be your psu not pushing enough power down the sata line to energise the pump a bearing failing or the pump on its way out, how old the h115? what psu is it? and how old is it ? age isn't always a good indicator but if its within a few weeks of first use or several years old its a good chance its developing a fault... I used to get that with a cpu fan on an old mobo, but that board was several years old and the caps were all bubbled because it was dying and unableo t supply the necessary voltage to first energise the fan, only that cant be the case with the h115 since its powered from the sata or 4pin molex directly off the psu /
