Hi I recently found an issue with my HX1200i PSU, whenever the fans kicks in, my system shutsdown and I have I hve to switch it off and on to get it running again I've purchase a HX1000i to replace it, while I wait to RMA the HX1200i, after I've had the initial contact with Corsair customer service. My questions is, can I simply swap the main PSU units without the need to recable everything, given that they are both from the same series. Thanks

HX Series™ HX1000 PSU Fan Speeds up after installing new GPU

Well I found what the problem was, somehow when I was installing the 2080ti one of the H115i fan connectors came loose, they're not exactly a tight fit and that was why the fans were running faster than they should. so once I opened my PC again and reconnected it, it's now running as quiet as a mouse. Thanks everyone for your help with this problem, even though it was the wrong problem. This definitely teaches me not to jump to the wrong conclusion. -

Thanks you all for the info, and now that I've taken another look, I can't believe I didn't notice it before. because I just realised that the noise is actually coming from the radiator fans of my Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler and using a sound meter on my phone, it was giving 60db. My apologies for taking up your time for something I should have realised sooner. Thanks again and to answer your question my case is a Phantek Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass Black edition http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Pro-TemperedGlass.html and the PSU is housed in the separate compartment separating from the rest of the case. and it feels cool to the the touch. -

Only thing is, it's doing it while idle Is there a software that allows me to monitor the PSU I have, so I can see what it's doing I also took a snapshot of Hardware Monitor of the current state HWMonitor.txt -
Hi I have a HX Series™ HX1000 — 1000 Watt 80 PLUS® PLATINUM Certified Fully Modular PSU (UK) https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/hxi-series-2017-config/p/CP-9020139-UK I know this is quite an old PSU, but I recently change my GPU from 2 * Asus GTX980s to 1 * AORUS GeForce RTX™ 2080 Ti 11G And when I has 980s as SLI the PSU, wasn't working as hard and the fan was quiet, but as soon as I replaced them with the single 280 Ti, it suddenly ramped up and became much much louder. Is this normal, because of the new GPU, or is it something I should be concerned about. The CPU is controlled by Corsair Link, in which case it doesn't give a graph in AI Suite, which is why i didn't add it. Here's a screenshot of my current CPU temp

Thanks for the recommendation, tried the bios route couldn't to get it to work. but the your recommendation of fan Xpert did the trick. Just one question, if I'm playing a AAA game, like Shadow of the Tombraider, which needs processing power will Fan Expert accommodate it, or do I have to make changes manually.

Thanks, I'll give your suggestion a go

Any advice on what I can do about the other fins, seems corsair link doesn't have control over them. any recommended software I can use that won't interfere with Corsair Link. Thanks
