  1. I have a K95 that is a few years old, and a couple of the leds have died. I can't figure out what kind of smd led these use to get a replacement, as I can't send it in under warranty at this point since it's too old and I've already repaired some broken switches myself. Can anyone point me to the right part? I can fix it if I could source the exact part but it's been near impossible to find an answer from the searching I've done.
  2. I would love a Corsair-made game pad, to go with all the rest of my Corsair stuff. Given the choice between nothing and Razer right now I'm sticking with nothing, but if my choices were Razer or Corsair I'd be for Corsair 100%. Please make one!~
  3. Yes, it will work just fine. Its a modern board, with a modern power supply. The difference in plug shape has no bearing on it, the contacts within the plug itself are the same. As long as you plug it in the right way round it'll fit just fine, as the rounded parts on the cable fit into the squared parts on the board's plug. :)
  4. There's a possibility that something within Windows itself (either a recent update, or a system file getting corrupted as this can happen randomly because Windows is a butthole) so in that case you may not have any choice. Back up your data! The time I spent hearing that for 2 years straight in school and all the times I had to deal with multiple Windows re-installs and completely broken computers myself I definitely don't recommend living dangerously if you have anything important saved on your computer. Sorry for the rant. Just keep in mind that, despite all other best efforts, sometimes Windows just sucks.
  5. I used to hide mine in an empty drive back, stuck down with double sided foam tape, but I have since upgraded my case to a Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG which has a fan hub integrated behind the motherboard tray, so I just stuck my Lighting Node Pro and the RGB hub for my HD fans back there too. If your case has room behind the motherboard, that would be my pick. If you have a case like my old one and not even a mite could fit behind your mobo then empty drive bays or the bottom of the case are the way to go.
  6. I'd just like to add that the Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB kit, CMT32GX4M4C3000C15 works wonderfully on my Ryzen 5 3600 and X570 motherboard from ASRock. :)
  7. I've always been under the assumption that having matching RAM modules in paired slots is best, so I would just buy another kit of the same RAM you already have. It may not be from the same batch but since the timings and everything are identical, and its the same part number, it should work fine.
  8. Check your motherboard manufacturer's QVL for RAM. If either of those serials show up on the list, then it's been tested and verified to work. From Krokarn's post it seems that the Z version would then be the one you'd look for. Basically, its all down to which RAM has been verified to work with your motherboard and CPU. If you're running a Ryzen 2600, you may not have any problems even if the RAM you buy is not on the QVL as long as it is similar to another kit that is. I just built a R5 3600 rig with a set of 32GB Dominator Platinum RGB 3000, and it wasn't listed on the QVL for my motherboard, but the 3200MHz version was. It works just fine. Depending on where you buy from you should have plenty of time to test the RAM and if it doesn't work, send it back for something else.
  9. I have noticed that iCUE seems to keep crashing randomly in the background, sometimes when I'm not doing anything and other times it crashes if something else was force closed or crashed. I just updated to 3.19 and the system I'm running on is brand new, only just got it up and running this week. Haven't had any of the old CPU usage issues I had before on my old AMD A8 system, but the crashing is something that happened rarely before and now I'm noticing it more. I'm not sure what's causing it as I haven't noticed any other problems that seem to be iCUE related. Every other computer crash I've had since I got my system running was my own fault (tweaking settings and such) and the last iCUE crash happened when I crashed No Man's Sky while tweaking graphics settings. Radeon Settings also crashed when that happened, and a restart of all affected processes or a complete system restart fixes things until I crash something again. Basically I'm not sure what's causing iCUE to crash in the background, since I have also seen it crash when I was not messing around with anything. My GPU usage at idle also seems to randomly spike from 0 up anywhere to 100 but I'm unsure if this could be related or not. I only run my RAM in hardware mode since I've heard software control can cause issues and I haven't any need for it anyway. I'd also just like to add that if Corsair also made motherboards and graphics cards I'd make my system basically all Corsair everything if I could. :D: Thank you guys for doing great work.
  10. I recently experienced this problem myself and had to completely reset my Windows install as neither my restore points or recovery images would work, nor would any DISM commands. My problem occurred after a restart due to updating anti-virus software. So, no, it is definitely not only caused by iCUE, rather it seems to be (as usual) a Windows issue and I found in my research that this problem has been around for quite a while, at least as far back as 2015. As far as I can tell, it has something to do with Windows updates specifically, either updates failing to install correctly or being interrupted during install; as far as why the problem presents after updating other software, I'm not entirely sure. However, once I reset my PC and reinstalled the latest version of iCUE, I've not had any problems whatsoever, which makes me even more inclined to put the blame on Windows.
  11. I just returned my G502 and my Scimitar to get the Nightsword today and I already love it. I've been using the Ironclaw for a while now, since I found the G502 to be too narrow for my hand, and the Nightsword seems to be a much better size for me. Its similar enough to the Ironclaw but has the right amount of buttons in the right placement for my liking as well, which was my chief complaint about the Ironclaw and the G502. Either not enough buttons (Ironclaw, but the wireless would have solved that but its not available locally for me) or the placement is not quite right (G502) has always been my issue. I've tried so many mice just trying to find the right one and Corsair may have a winner finally. Really the only problem now is that iCUE still needs some major work. Other than that I think the Nightsword is an amazing mouse and would definitely recommend it.
  12. I'm having a similar problem, iCUE is hogging up my CPU and actually causing my system to lock up. I've closed the program and am only running on hardware profiles for now, waiting for a fix.
  13. I encountered this problem before, and a subsequent update seemed to have fixed it - until I updated to the latest version (3.16.56) yesterday. Now it seems to be worse. iCUE CPU usage was anywhere from 40-50% at idle, with the program not even open in the foreground. Only killing the iCUE.exe itself and re-starting it made it go back to normal (still using sometimes over 10%), then Corsair.service started spiking up to 15% or more - but I'm also noticing that when I try to kill any Corsair processes they just come right back instead of staying closed. Which makes it impossible for me to shut down iCUE and everything completely so it still uses a noticeable amount of my CPU especially when gaming. I honestly don't know why this is still happening, even unplugging my headset stand doesn't seem to make a difference anymore. I absolutely LOVE Corsair, but the software is sub-par sometimes compared to other control software I've used for peripherals and it just makes me sad and frustrated because it should just work.
  14. I personally prefer ASRock myself. MSI seems to have some odd issues with their thermal overload protection options in the BIOS causing CPU speeds to be throttled even when the system isn't overheating. A friend of mine had that issue with his, albeit it was an Intel system so I'm not sure if MSI boards for AMD would have that same issue. Personally not willing to take the chance. ASRock also has great support as far as I've experienced.
  15. Yeah, I just updated to the latest version as well, and had zero problems. I'm running a tower with at least a 4 year old if not more disc drive, and always running AV software - why would you ever connect a computer to the internet and NOT have AV?! Either way, I have had troubles with iCUE in the past but this update was probably the smoothest so far.
