It's been a longtime since last posting on the forum. Unfortunately, repeated periods of various forms of ill-health over the past 10 years has prevented me from staying upto date on the forum here. I've obviously lost my account and required to reregistered. Not a problem, now I'm here, its nice to see some usernames I recognise, especially after all this time.
I would like to increase the available RAM on my X58 motherboard to 12GB from 6GB and would like some advice?
Here in UK I'm having difficulty finding DDR3 Dominator to match existing triple channel. Theres not much DDR3 about TBH, certainly not from my goto supplier anyway.
I have found CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 triple channel 12GB set that appears to be suitable or compatible with my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev2.0.
I would simply like to get a little more life out of my very little used machine while I concentrate on saving for a new build... I'm sure I can get the correct info here.
Would be most grateful should a forum member be able to advise from experience?
