  1. Seriously, just buy a decent one. Included ones will always be kind of poor quality to keep the overall costs down as most average users either don’t use them or don’t care. If they included a quality one the price would be higher and people would be complaining about paying a premium for something they don’t use.
  2. Brand: It’s a Corsair forum, they have a good rep for mice. Wired/wireless: high end wireless mice are ok for gaming, lower end ones can suffer from input lag, unless you play fairly competitively it is unlikely you will notice anyway. Wireless also has to be charged etc obviously. DPI: a red herring, mainly used for marketing. It basically makes the mouse more sensitive to your movements. Most modern mice go to dpi settings which no one uses (or would want to) and many competitive gamers use low dpi settings to steady their aim. What does matter is the quality of the sensor, most modern med/high end mice have great sensors. Pad: definitely recommended, it’s a consistent surface which is designed for glide and accuracy, a bit subjective as to what pad though. Pick a mouse you like the shape of and has the features you want, try to figure out what grip you use and your hand size then read some reviews.
  3. A split keyboard would be interesting, similar to some high end mechanical kb’s used for coding. If the joining cable was long enough you could fold one half behind the other for use in fps games then put the half’s back in a comfortable spot for typing. Also gets around the issue of the massive size which often is seen in commercial ‘ergo’ keyboards.
  4. Hmm, I’m not sure what is going on, I’ve read reviews of other unboxing where they clearly show what is included (no other keycaps) as well as pointing out they are not included with the se. Having said that, in those videos you can certainly see them showing the alternative keycaps. If the fps/moba set are pbs I wouldn’t mind trying them, I just don’t want to mix pbs caps with abs ones (quite why I don’t know). Might have to get some official clarification on this, I can definitely report my edition (from Australia) didn’t include the extra caps or key puller.
  5. I have the same keyboard, I don’t believe the SE comes with the extra key caps which the non-se version does. The reason I’m guessing is the se version uses high quality pbs double shot keycaps where as the standard version uses normal abs keycaps. I’m fairly sure the extra ‘fps/moba’ caps in the standard issue are also abs, as such using them would actually be a downgrade. I do wish they included the cap puller though, we still need to clean our keyboards. Might seem counter-intuitive at first but remember a big part of the reason the se version is there is so you get the higher quality keycaps so using spare ones of lower quality doesn’t really make sense.
