Don't use other RGB programs as I'm not a fan of RGB (Only use this as I was an early adopter of the K95 RGB for the great mechanical keyboard and macros), AIDA or HWiNFO. Kinda glad I'm not alone. I think that most people just install it and never see the amount used. I mean it's not a huge problem with 32gb installed but just think if all programs were as lazy as this one.

Can anybody suggest a way of stopping Icue services eating up more than a GIG of memory. This is just ridiculous, a few years back this was a problem becuase of some JPG's in the corsair folder, Seriously this is 2021 and my Icue can use from 1-5% of my 8700k CPU and more than a gig of memory. I only have a K95 RGB and that seen way to excessive for just a glorified keyboard driver. This is the same if I have my K95 plugged in or using a cheapo usb keyboard for testing. Running software CORSAIR iCUE v3.38.61.

I ONLY have a K95 RGB keyboard so don't actually need the headset service running just in case I plug in a headset. Totally agree The next keyboard I purchase will NOT be a corsair. I've already got a logitech G502 hero and can't wait to get rid of this ICUE software. It's a real shame as corsairs hardware is so good but when the software actually degrades the system then it's time to vote with your wallet.

Thanks for that yet ANOTHER corsair service I can disable as I only have a keyboard. Corsair seem to be the modern AOL, lets install everything and run it just in case its needed, lets not check if its needed first.

Hope this helps anybody from corsair IF they are interested at all. But yet again my keyboard needed to be unplugged and re plugged in to be seen for no reason what so ever , But I had task manager open and noticed that when the Icue losses connection with the keyboard its actual usage drops to 0% . But seriously 198.7mb and 1.7-2.4% with the latest update is just getting ridiculous and thats just the icue software not taking into account the other 4 services corsair sneakily run as there should be 5 but i disable the audio one as i don't have a headset so thanks for checking if its needed BEFORE installing and running it on every restart Corsair.

I can do even better than that after installing 3.32.80 which is an update as the website 'https://www.corsair.com/en-gb/support/downloads' is STILL down it not only went from 1-3% CPU to 1.6-4% CPU it also dleted ALL my saved profiles. So way to go yet again corsair. Maybe this is a sign to say hello Logitech

You had better start your own thread as I've upset some fanboys with facts and they have a hard time with FACTS

I only opened Icue as well as logitech ghub to show them both side by side and as with both minimized Icue takes 1.3-1.6% and Ghub again takes up 0%. I post the screenshots as there are ALWAYS fanboys who doubt anything negative said against their favorite products and like to give as much info as i can to help with any problems.

LOL Obviously I can as it is ONLY a monitoring/lighting program and the other is a FULL featured web browser with 5 tabs open doing much more functional stuff for less CPU usage. And as for other monitoring programs I only have Logitech Ghub that uses 0% CPU and 0%GPU compared to the 2-5% CPU and 5-8% GPU (R5700XT)

Why does Icue take between 1-3% of my CPU usage + another 0.3-0.5% for the services? Thats more than firefox whilst browsing these forums. I have a 8600K @ 5Ghz so i know this isn't high but it IS unacceptable .

I've just opened process explorer and noticed the same thing myself, andbody know of a way of stopping cue eating my SSD cycles without reinstalling windows ?

There's definatly something wrong with the lastest iCUE v3.15.101 as i use the poison theme by http://lewisgerschwitz.com and when you press a key in iCUE v3.15.101 the WHOLE keyboard lights up white. Previous icue it flashed the surrounding keys.

and if the service is running but the stop/back/play/forward still don't work ?

I doubt many kvm will work correct as I'm convinced the K95RGB and probably the other RGB range are slightly out of USB spec. Thats why corsair are having SO much problems with them.
