  1. With the update, should we be seeing new firmware revisions... or just the return of proper function of the Virtuoso "check for updates"? As you can see in my screenshot, the check seems to be working once again... but there are no new firmware updates.
  2. Just picked up a Sabre RGB Pro Champion Series mouse and was pleased that iCUE4 showed my existing color profile to use right away. Hardware Lighting seemed pretty straight forward (would have been nice if Gradient was included in the "Custom" options, but was able to make Pulse do something close to what I wanted) My only issue seems to be with setting a default Hardware DPI Mode Stage... the default seems to be stuck on "Stage 1" and I'd rather have it on Stage 4... but all my clicks seems to tell me that may not be possible... I hope I'm wrong.
  3. I just updated to iCUE 4.11.274, which triggered me to check for updates... and I'm having an update version check problem too. (note: my M65, MM800, and K95 are all "up-to-date"... issue is headset only) I currently run my headset wired (USB) and it's firmware is listed as 0.17.149 Seems to be a relatively recent issue, as my previous iCUE4 update had no issue calling out to get the latest firmware version to do a compare... but that's been a few days/weeks ago when I installed the previous version... so not sure what happened in between. Is this a new iCUE4 issue, a site/API/access issue, or has the firmware been taken down again... i.e. "unavailable" I sure hope this isn't a side effect of the recent Virtuoso XT release.
  4. Is this a device specific setting? Just curious as I cannot find it (or anything power management related) in the "global settings" or "device settings" (M65 Pro, K95 RGB, Virtuoso SE, MM800) within iCUE4
  5. I recently upgraded to a Virtuoso SE headset after finding my old VOID headset was no longer supported by iCue v4... and I must say that I am pretty impressed by them; especially once I stopped fiddling with the EQ and tried out the "spatial sound" options... Windows Sonic was good, but Dolby Atmos felt worth the price to me While colour options sound great, as a Virtuoso owner, I'd rather see Corsair continue to grow their Virtuoso functionality within iCue... like supporting/sharing/using the lighting library like other Corsair components and storing profiles to the device so that it continues to work when the PC is locked. Maybe these are things that work in iCue3 and iCue4 will gain these over time... but my reference for Virtuoso is iCue4.
  6. my upgrade to the new iCue seemed to go fairly straight forward; my profiles are still in tact by the looks of it... however, my VOID USB headset seems to not be picked up... CA-9011130 Is it not compatible with the new iCue? If so, I'll go back to the previous iCue version where it is supported. I bought it at the same time as my original K95 (not platinum) keyboard and M65 Pro mouse... and they seemed to pop in just fine, along with my MM800 polaris pad... so, it's not like it's too old to support Or is corsair offering incentives/discounts to aid replacing perfectly fine hardware they've decided drop off their iCue compatibility list?
  7. I just bought a VOID USB headset yesterday (to go with my new K95 and M65 over the past few days) and swapped it for another one today after discovering a section in the cable that was mis-shaped under the rubberized coating of the USB cable. It almost looked like an internal wire that had its insulation/shielding rolled back a few millimeters and then shrink wrapped over top of it. Not normal anyway. While I was seriously unimpressed by the strength of the mic of the first unit, it looks like the new headset is definitely better... so I suspect the wire condition was to blame in part. Being a gamer and computer user/builder for years, I have some habits I typically always perform when I get a new headset... namely, instantly upping the mic boost to max (typically +30db). And of course mic boost is not an option on the VOID?!? Ggrrr, us creatures of habit (old dogs) need our mic boost sliders!! So while I feel that my new VOID is not recording audio to the same levels of my other headsets of the past, I think it's fair to say that this judgement is made real because of the lack of the mic boost feature. I could reattach the old headset to run a comparison between them with mic boost disabled on my onboard realtek audio... but I'm enjoying the audio output of my VOID too much to want the old headset to touch my computer ever again :) Good Bye 3.5mm (stereo) Sennheiser, hello VOID! Now I know this thread is focused on bending the mic to improve performance, but it looks like the both USB VOIDS I purchased over the last 2 days already had a significant (I'd say at least 45 degree) bend in them right out of the box. So while all this positioning of the mic is very relevant, I still think it's important for Corsair to put an old staple / feature like mic boost into their product offering... whether that be within CUE or made available deeper within the Windows recording settings. Did I mention mic boost? :)
