  1. I ran 1100MHz RAM on an n780i with a Q9550 at 4GHz. So this kind of setup can work well. You can get quite a good performance increase by running higher RAM speeds, but only if the rest of your system is good enough to make use of it. In other words, if the RAM is causing a bottleneck, increasing its speed will improve performance. Not rocket science, really! Tutuapp9appsShowbox
  2. In my opinion, there is nothing "wrong". XMP is not guaranteed on any specific configuration unless the memory is on the motherboard QVL at the speed you want. XMP is an overclock, and just like every overclock, "your results will vary". You could have tried a little more RAM voltage, to see if it was stable. But your particular set of parts may not be stable at 3200. Kodi nox
