  1. I did a little more testing to try and figure things out. I use a Elgato Wave 3 as a microphone, and so use the Wave Link program. The way I have it set up is so if I am moving around the house I can toggle the headset mic on and off (without stopping sidetone). Now when I connect the HS80, and unmute the mic for my own headphones (so I hear whats going in the mic), interestingly the sound is clear as hell (if anything there is an ever so slight white noise), and this is regardless of what volume I have windows set to. So this to me says that the microphone volume is not linked directly to windows volume as I think some people had mentioned somewhere else. But interestingly the severe lack in any sidetone volume is directly between the mic and speakers in the headset cups, or rather, the software that controls the volume from the mic to the headset speakers. For testing btw I had spatial sound turned off, so no dolby or anything, and I have not got the nVidia Broadcast(Audio Effects) installed either via iCue . The only reason why I cannot use this to fix my issue (which someone may ask) is because this method creates a delay between you speaking and hearing it. It is about a 1-2 second delay, and really off putting. If I can get the sidetone working (without any more white noise or interference) I think I could look past the rest. Any thoughts anyone ?
  2. Hey @ChelseyRenea Sadly I am suffering the same issue as you. To answer your question, the Corsair Void Pro, has proper sidetone, but its finding it thats the issue. I am looking around myself and returning my HS80.
  3. So I have been a long time Corsair user, and built up a fair collection in our household of corsair products. Recently my RGB Void Pro started falling apart (ear cups) and given how I have had to already glue the mic boom together I thought its time to renew, after all this is about 6 or 7 years old. So I went and looked up the HS80, and thought its a worthwhile investment...Boy do I feel I was wrong. I cannot get the sidetone to work the way it should, I am sorry but in order for me to hear myself in any way at all, I need to bend the mid until it is about 2mm away from my mouth, and I dont mean the corner either, I mean bend it over until it is as close to the middle and to my mouth as I can get it. Sadly any further away it is not even a gradual fall off, it is near instant. So my biggest question is why Corsair ? The void pro was perfect in that regard, why meddle ? Other bits that annoy me are, the headset feels cheaper. The ear cups are smaller and so my ears feel squashed The headset seems to be designed for slim heads as it feels like it is really squashing my head The ear cups, idk, feel more scratchy and cheaper than the void pro's To think im paying more for this than I did the void pro. Sadly they do not seem to produce the void pro no more, so that seems to be a no go option, and I am not keeping these, and theres no point going for any model below it, so it seems, after so many years, I am going to have to look at other brands and at least in the headset department part ways with Corsair :( Unless anyone has a miracle fix for me ?
  4. I to am living with this issue. My headset was an RMA replacement for a Void pro that went faulty. The sidetone feature was the thing that immediately warmed to me, but when it randomly stops working is irritating as hell. I cannot play using PTT, so I have an open mic and simply lift the boom and lower it. Except when sidetone stops working it throws me. It is all fair and well being willing to answer and address concerns over issues that are very new or for issues people may have heard as rumours. This issue has been going on for well over a year and simply being told there is no ETA is beyond mind boggling. Questions I have is Why is there no ETA ? Are the devs putting this on the lowest or highest priority (bearing in mind this is a feature of the product that helps it sell im sure) ? What exactly is causing the delay in looking into and fixing this issue ? Considering the speed at which this issue is being handled why should I have confidence in Corsair in their water cooling units? As I am looking to use them to overclock my CPU.
  5. Thought I would mention I too have this issue. I would attach the logs, but todays seem to not want to work and the only 3 others im not sure which had the problem in. My headset is extremely random in how it shuts off. Its getting a little annoying now, being mid raid on mythic on a new boss and something happens and all of a sudden.... headset shuts off. It did it about 10 minutes ago WHILE plugged in, but typically only does it while on wireless.
