So I have been a long time Corsair user, and built up a fair collection in our household of corsair products.
Recently my RGB Void Pro started falling apart (ear cups) and given how I have had to already glue the mic boom together I thought its time to renew, after all this is about 6 or 7 years old.
So I went and looked up the HS80, and thought its a worthwhile investment...Boy do I feel I was wrong.
I cannot get the sidetone to work the way it should, I am sorry but in order for me to hear myself in any way at all, I need to bend the mid until it is about 2mm away from my mouth, and I dont mean the corner either, I mean bend it over until it is as close to the middle and to my mouth as I can get it.
Sadly any further away it is not even a gradual fall off, it is near instant. So my biggest question is why Corsair ? The void pro was perfect in that regard, why meddle ?
Other bits that annoy me are, the headset feels cheaper.
The ear cups are smaller and so my ears feel squashed
The headset seems to be designed for slim heads as it feels like it is really squashing my head
The ear cups, idk, feel more scratchy and cheaper than the void pro's
To think im paying more for this than I did the void pro. Sadly they do not seem to produce the void pro no more, so that seems to be a no go option, and I am not keeping these, and theres no point going for any model below it, so it seems, after so many years, I am going to have to look at other brands and at least in the headset department part ways with Corsair :(
Unless anyone has a miracle fix for me ?
