  1. This maybe happened to me. I RMA'd the CPU and MB because a PSU swap didnt help but I didn't try changing out the default PSU cables that came with my 1600i. I should give them a test to be certain but if you have any tips on how to properly test that cable, please advise. Oh and why did you say to use the older iCUE? iCUE 4 when I tried a while back worked fine and the only Corsair product I own is the PSU. I did uninstall though because I am on AMD CPU and it seems to not like when the PSU USB is plugged in at all.
  2. I too encounter this issue in an x299 (Asus zenith extreme alpha) and threadripper as well as different threadripper on the newer tr4 zenith extreme alpha II. I can get it to stop locking up my pc by unplugging but otherwise it causes random issues. But these boards do seem to have other random usb issues too.
  3. Bumping to try and help previous posters and to see if anything new has been found. I gave up long ago trying to use icue because of how unstable it makes the entire system but I would love to read my psu power draw again someday.
  4. It did stop having problems once I unplugged the USB going to the PSU. But also I did another fresh OS install and plugged it in but this time without HWINFO (did install icue but disabled it from autostarting, and did install Aida64). No issues so far but also since I don't need icue other than for the usb driver, I cannot see any readout from psu in Aida64 or anything else. I am too nervous to enable icue to autostart and to enable its sdk support.
  5. I experienced this same with a AX1600i and got a second one thinking that the first was going to die some day. But since I have put the original back in place and is fine. I recall I was trying to force iCue to work with HWINFO and AIDA64 and maybe this causes some issue with the controller in the PSU? Odd but both my PSU's behave exactly the same to this day.
  6. Same question and appreciate the response. Bummer I cannot have any other software read the PSU data with iCue installed.
  7. Any chance of this getting onto Github or something? Would love to help out or at least let us keep it alive over time.
