Occasionally new firmware updates are released to improve this user experience, so we’ve put together a quick guide to help you update your headset and get back to gaming!

Prerequisites:
HS75 XB gaming headset
• USB-A to USB-C cable
• PC with the latest version of the CORSAIR iCUE Software

Step 1:
Connect the HS75 XB gaming headset to your PC using the headset’s included USB-A to USB-C cable, the USB-C side connects to the headset while the USB-A side will connect directly to an open port on your system (avoid connecting through a USB hub or dock).

Step 2:
Open the CORSAIR iCUE Software and mouse over the tile for the HS75 XB headset, click on “DEVICE SETTINGS”.

Step 3:
Click on the “UPDATE” button to begin the update process. Do not unplug or power down the HS75 XB while it is updating!

Step 4:
Once the update is finished, disconnect the USB cable. You’ll now need to re-pair your headset to your Xbox.

Step 5:
Start your Xbox console back up and begin the pairing procedure by pressing the connect button on the console (this button will be in a different location depending on your Xbox One / Series X|S model)

Step 6:
With the HS75 XB turned off, press and hold the power/pairing button on the headset for 10 seconds. A “Headset Assigned” confirmation will appear on your screen once the HS75 XB has been paired with your Xbox console.

iCue software v. 4.29.203 doesn't detect my headset so I can't check or update the firmware. Current firmware on my headset is 1.0.1.0 according to my Xbox. Previous version also didn't detect my headset.

I have the same issue on MacOS. I have installed the ICUE app, and my headset it now being detected.

I have the same issue with the computer connection. Tried different USB ports. Tried different cable. My initial problem was the battery not holding a charge, but the headphones still work on the xbox with the USB cable. Thought a firmware update might make a difference.

I got the following reply from Corsair:

Please uninstall iCUE and then install the earlier version of iCUE here: https://downloads.corsair.com/Files/CUE/iCUESetup_3.38.61_release.msi

Please remember to uninstall iCUE before installing the version I've linked.

I followed the instructions but it's still not being detected

Not sure how you managed to get it detected on MacOS... Corsair told me the HS75 XB gaming headset is not supported by the Mac version of iCUE.

The only version of the iCUE app that even hints it will support devices is version 3.38.61.  Version 4 of the app (on Windows and MacOS) doesn't even have the empty "Devices" panel that says "No Devices detected"!

When I connect the HS75 XB gaming headset to my PC (with iCUE 3.38.61 installed), the orange light comes on, but the software does not detect it.

Worse, if I press the power button on the headset while connected, the white light comes on, and the headphones go into that "frozen" state that's the very reason I wanted to upgrade the firmware.

This hardware is absolute junk; I've never before encountered a piece of hardware that does not have some reset function available via a combination of button presses.  Instead, I have to wait days for the battery to drain before trying to connect them to iCUE again.

If it weren't 11 months since I bought them on Amazon, I'd be returning them for a refund.  As it is, I will have to wait to see if Corsair will accept an RMA, but 3 days since raising that, I've had no response.

In the meantime, my 17yo son and I had a rare opportunity to play some online games together over the Xmas holiday... for which I will now have to buy another pair of headphones... but I'll be going for the official Microsoft ones this time.

Prerequisites:
• HS75 XB gaming headset
• USB-A to USB-C cable
• PC with the latest version of the CORSAIR iCUE Software

You should really update that last point, as according to these threads, you've told many customers to use an old version of the software, not the latest.
