DustoMan
Wanted to do a quick survey of what others have done. I know the H100/H80 comes with thermal compound already applied to the water pump, other models might as well. For product owners, did you use that thermal compound or did you scrape it off and apply your own? Are you happy with the performance of the original? How much of a difference did you own make? I like the idea of not having to mess with the stuff, but if it makes a significant difference, I will. Thanks all!
Wired
Supposedly the H60, H80 and H100 use Dow Corning Thermal Interface. Supposed to be better than the Shin Etsu compound on the H50 and H70.

peanutz94
Use it! It's among the top TIMS out there.
parsec
Use the pre-applied TIM, it's excellent. There are several posts in this forum about users cleaning it off and using Arctic Silver of one kind or another, and their temps were worse. I read a review where they said there was dust or particles of something in the TIM when they examined it, so they replaced it. I'm not saying that is common, mine were not like that, but it's worth checking before you mount the pump.
gldndragn
I have used other tim s in the past, on other coolers with differing results. On my H60, with pre applied tim, I get temps in the mid to hi 20s to low 30s with a clock speed of 4ghz 24/7. Did not get that with AS 5, or any other for that matter. YMMV
