Sad Corsair Cooling Node discontinued?

I RMA'd my cooling node from being bricked and being told that it isn't being carried anymore. Is the Corsair Link product line being scraped? Is there a revision coming out?

This really sucks for me since I based a lot of my fans (PWM) around the cooling node for my upgraded project with a newly purchased 900D. This changes everything for me now.

I was told that they where waiting on production and they have no ETA when new cooling nodes where available.

What was the actual message you got from them?

Man, this news (if correct) sucks as i just bought a cooling an light node kit from a reseller to go with my H80i. I guess that means i just wasted my money buying hardware that is useless. Maybe someone from Corsair can confirm this for us.

Is the whole kit being replaced or just the cooling node and if a new version is being released will it work with the current commander an lighting nodes?

The cooling Node has been EOL'ed is the word I just was handed down. But I will get with the Product manager and see if there is any more news on this I can share

I think I am going to cry and than throw up or both at the same time. I based too much of my build on this Product Line. I think I am going to smash my head through the wall or at least attempt too. BRB......

EOL = End Of Life

A term used to indicate that a product will no longer be supported by the manufacturer. Like Windows XP, some things are still available, but there will be no updates to XP itself.

Even automobiles have an EOL where the manufacturer states that they will no longer supply parts.

Will the software exist for the "I" series products? So its just the Corsair Link Kit that is ending?

I'll be a bit ticked off too as I'm just built a new system based on Corsair 900D and loads of other Corsair kit (memory, fans etc) and have 1 x Commander and 3 x Cooling Nodes. No wonder the cooling nodes were out of stock everywhere :(

FAQ time (hopefully Ram Guy will be able to provide the answers in due course)

1. Does this EOL apply to everything in the Link Circle (ie Link software, Commander, Lighting Node, GPU Node and the Cooling Node or does this apply to the current cooling node only?

2. Is there a newer Version of the Cooling Node being released and if so will it work with the other Link Hardware?

3. If the Link hardware as a whole is being dropped is it safe to assume the current beta software 2.4.4948 will be the last version.

4. If the link hardware is being EOL'd as a whole what does this mean for the H80i and H100i coolers?

Sorry if these questions seem a bit daft to some but there answers will enable me to decide if i should rip the whole lot out of my pc an look for an alternative or wait.

Thanks.

He specifically stated the cooling node. Nothing else was mentioned.

yeah i did see that but it got me wondering if thats the case and theres no plans to release an new one what i have is a rather expensive led setup which is rather pointless without the cooling node an its temperature sensors. Others may feel different but thats just my opinion. ;)

You hit it on the head! That's exactly what I need to know. I got a setup with water cooling and lots fans, temp probes, flow meter, pumps etc going on. I need to know about these questions before I can move on as this is holding me back.
