pratik252 Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 My desktop configuration is as follow Intel DH55TC motherboard Core i3 530 2.93GHz processor I recently purchased Corsair 1 x 4GB 1333 DDR3 (CMV4GX3M1A1333C9). peanutz94 Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Prakit, please make sure your BIOS is up to date and if not please flash to the latest version available Then be sure to reset your BIOS before installing the new memory. peanutz94 Posted January 23, 2013 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Yes, there should be an option to reset or load defaults some where in your BIOS I just wondered why you were using just one module. Your basically cutting memory bandwidth in half using only one DIMM. The machine would be quite a bit faster with two. If that module still give the same problem , then I would suggest testing it with memtest(there is a link on the left ) Let it run for about three passes or until it shows an error. I have other module but to check which module is having issue i m using single module at a time. ran memtest but it reboots the machine as test starts. Replaced the module but no progress. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 28, 2013 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 28, 2013 Please count the black memory IC's on the module and let us know how many are there. If there are 4 IC's on each side then that is the issue and I am sorry but you may need to return these and purchase modules suggested by the MB Manufacture. All of our current modules will likely be made with 512M X8 IC's and this MB cannot use memory modules with IC's larger than 256M X 8. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
