Default M60 update bricked mouse

I downloaded the FW 1.11 / SW 1.0.0.23. Updated FW, that went fine. Installed SW, that went fine as well. At the end of the installation wizard, I left the option checked to launch the mouse control panel.

When the mouse control panel opens my ... USB controller freezes, I don't how to explain it. Mouse control is lost, and my Logitech G15 keyboard LCD goes blank. Both mouse and keyboard functionality are completely lost. Unplugging them and plugging them back in causes windows to make a USB be-boop sound, but I never gain control. I have to reset the computer.

When the computer comes back up, the Corsair M60 is bricked. No movement. Lights are on, but otherwise nothing. Trying to re-flash it fails. Launching the mouse control panel blows out the USB again, as above.

Try the M60 on a different computer.

The mouse software shouldn't cause the USB problems. Do you have the latest chipset drivers?

Tech support provided me with an updated FW and SW package that fixed it!
