Question M5A97 & 1045T + 32 GB Corsair ram

I'm running a server for virtualization at home for sandboxing and wanted some serious ram for allocating.

Started with 2 sticks of **** ***** RAM totaling 16GB of RAM
Started with 2 sticks of COrsair RAM totaling 16GB of RAM
Got an Asus M5A97 mobo.
Got an AMD Phenom2 1045T.

When I started out, I was running 32GB of RAM, and as such in the UEFI.
I later had a system crash that led to checking the RAM with memtest.

1 stick looks to have been bad.

I now am using all the same model of Corsair sticks totaling 32GB RAM.
Corsair ValueSelect DDR3 1333Mhz

... still only 16 GB of RAM showing in UEFI.
The motherboard sees the sticks in the SPD page, but it's not addressing all 32GB. Instead only 16.

I've tried adding voltage to 1.5v; tried reseating/swapping around the sticks; tried memtest; resetting the CMOS.
Motherboard is on latest BIOS/UEFI version and PSU is good and checked. The RAM is not listed in the QVL list for the mobo on the Asus website, but I've never had that stop me with other mobos/ram before.
Any other suggestions?

What is the actual part number of the memory from us and you will not be able to MIX them? Have you tested the modules one at a time with www.memtest.org? Assuming that you have or will and they all pass then I would suggest setting the memory Voltage to 1.65 Volts and set the CPU/NB Voltage to +.1 to +.2 Volts over default and make sure that command Rate is set to 2T.

I have 4 of
CMV8GX3M1A1333C9
sticks.

They come in dual-stick packages.

The voltage and command rate changes went in and still no dice.

I will get to memtest on each stick over the next 24 hours

OK, so all sticks have been tested and results are...

1 bad stick (over 30 errors, found with multiple slots, and the 3 other sticks used as control)

2 possibly bad memory slots on the motherboard. I get the feeling that the lack of stand-offs underneath the board where the last 2 dimms go in, might allow for too much bending when inserting dimms.

I don't think the flexing is as much of an issue as the lack of necessary grounding for certain parts of the MB that those stand offs provide. May be your entire issue.

There's no more screw holes for the motherboard that far out though. It's so odd.

I may end up RMAing the mobo. I may likely RMA at least 1 stick of RAM

If you purchase the modules as a set you will want to get the set replaced.
