Default My H100 Is A Mess...

Okay. I've had my H100 for exactly 2 weeks now, and it is just having all kinds of problems. First off, one of the fans was DOA. Not that huge of a deal, because I already had aftermarket fans in the mail...

But recently, when the fans arrived and I hooked them up, and then run at 100% all the time. By the way, the fans are Corsair SP120 High Performance fans. Every profile reveals the same thing. Fans at 100%. That's not the worst part, how ever.

The pump also makes kind of a buzzing noise, kinda like when a water loop has air in it. I can get a fan controller... But I can't really get a new pump...

Over all, my H100 is a mess, and I can't seem to get an RMA approval... Where should I go from here?

I've already submitted 2, and not heard a peep back about either in like a week.

The H100 fan controller will always run the SP120 fans at max speed.
Post your case # so RAM GUY can check on it.

Wait... Why do they always run at 100%? That doesn't make sense... How are they different from any other 3 pin fan?

As for the Case #, I never got one for either submission... So I submitted a third one... That number is: 4827569

I don't know why they run @ 100% all the time. But they are after market fans not stock, which means it may or may not work with the built in fan profiles.

the voltage, and resistance profile is not the same as the H80/100 fans. so when the
controller can not see the proper specs, default is 100%. now one thing that is not the
norm is not using the #1 position fan header and moving to the other may remedy the
some have done this with sucess, some not...

Uhgg. I can't stand these fans at 100%. I guess I will order the Corsair Link tomorrow. I am also going to have to apply for an "advanced RMA" on my H100... it would be almost a total of 2 weeks for me to send it to corsair, have the RMA approved, and get the replacement... I can't have that kind of down time, so I will have to get an advanced RMA.

You'll have to call CS on the phone. Those can't be arranged here on the forums.

this is precisely why I went out and grabbed a coolermaster hyper hsf.. after my first h100 return I had a feeling it wouldnt be the last And so I got it when my second unit went to crap.. it did when the pump fried so I had a replacement cooler handy.. only cost me $30 and its not a bad cooler at all for that price..

Geez. These H100's seem to have a bad track record... They should just like start fresh or something...

I vote for the Corsair H150. A 240 rad, but a 60mm thick rad. In other words, the H80 and H100 getting combined. Maybe a little thicker tubing, and a slightly bigger pump too. I would definitely buy a pre-filled loop like that... I can't even find that kind of thing on the market... Corsair, jump on it!!

There is not much to be done any more. I've just gotta call in and get an Advanced RMA. however, if you need anything, the case # is 4827569

I couldn't find the Corsair link for sale anywhere.

Not even Ebay or Amazon.
