I'm not sure I understand what to do. On my email I got a RMA-number from you. Should I file in a RMA-request now with that number?

I received my RMA for my noisy H60. It is an RMA through the regular process, not this special one. My PSU outputs slightly more than 12v (like 12.1 or 12.2 at any time).

My new unit is noiseless. Can't hear it all. I did RMA this just after the fixed units started being offered.

Mine grinds pretty loudly. I was about to harass my friend for recommending the H100 for what he described as a very quiet (I believe he said "I can barely hear it") when I came across this thread to understand that this was not normal.
Oddly, he has the same power supply HX1050 and same cooler H100 but his doesn't sound loud like mine.
So it may be a combination of power supplies as well as lot numbers, or it's some other factor as well. They did say certain combinations in certain conditions and only affects a small number of units. So there apparently is now way to know until you try it.

I just submitted an email for an RMA. Mine sounds like an aquarium pump. Amusing really.
I too have the 1050.. I also received an update to my newly submitted RMA request.. basically it was one sentence that asked what the voltage is on the 12v rail in the bios.

I could be wrong, but I think we're a bit farther away from a working unit then a couple degrees of voltage.. these pumps are poorly made and implemented. Great if you get one that works, but there seems to be zero consistency amongst the units.. I've had three, one has been noisy grinding, the second was great until the pump fried, and the third sounded very loud like an aquarium pump.. far too loud compared to the second one I used.

Corsair needs to get a handle on this big time and stop sending out "new" units without testing them.. if they are just firing off coolers that are new in the box to users who have returned 3+ then really they are going to alienate many users.. I know for sure that regardless of the outcome of my dealings with support I won't ever purchase another Corsair cooler again.. who would?

If it is the psu +12v rail in combination, wonder if Corsair could ship a cheap device to sit between the psu connector and Corsair H60/H80/H100 power connector to regulate and fix the +12v rail voltage ?

I just got my "new" H80 through advanced RMA today. It still makes a grinding noise but not nearly as loud as my current unit. The buzzing stopped when I flicked it with my finger but it starts right back up again if I give it another whack. What is going on with Corsair's QC? The women I spoke to on the phone before I submitted my RMA request assured me that this problem had been fixed in the replacement units!

exactly as my rma`d h100. the noise comes and goes by itself and tapping the pump same story

i got my h100 from corsair after requesting my 1st rma...same issue noisy pump a big load of BS from the product manager that they have fixed the issue! i think i will not return my other faulty h100 even if they send me a label which i am still waiting for..seems they don`t care to have my second h100 returned.

Oh thats just great news!!!!!
just sent mine off today after ramguy and a customer service rep ASSURED me that the replacement would be 100% and all they have fixed the issue!

if i get returned another faulty item, thats the last draw!! i had enough of emailing and debating with corsair giving out lies and covering there own back, blaming customers for there system voltage and not there product ect..

if i am not satisfied with the result, then i am contacting trading standards over this issue, and i suggest everyone else who has been messed around by corsair should do the same.

this is not acceptable !

Purchased first one from retail store, had the noise since powered on, after a week and couldnt stand with the noise anymore so retail store replaced a new one for me, was quiet at beginning but after about 3 days the noise came again and its even louder and sharper noise, gently ltap the pump or the tube makes the noise go away but within a few hours it would come back again, retail shop told me even if they replace another one for me they might still got the one with same problem, should I send my H100 directly back to you Corsairs?

I also got a replacement H100 today and installed it. This one one is completely silent and working as it should.

FYI about my RMA process:
I followed the instructions on the orig. post of this thread to a exactly.
"Please email us at Removed with the subject line “Hydro Series Buzz” and include your name, phone number, shipping address, and email address. We will contact you to start a replacement with a known good unit."

Please use the Link on the left to request and RMA and we will be happy to replace it
I received a phone call 2 days later (so give your mobile number so they can reach you) and when she called I requested and advance RMA which they put a CC hold on your card for the price of the new unit and release it when they receive the returned defective one. I thought the advance RMA was important because otherwise I can' t use my computer in the mean time unless I install the stock heat sink & fan.
On the phone I confirmed that she understood the specific reason I was doing the RMA and assured me that the replacement was to solve that issue, and it did.

Sorry to those who did not get a working replacement. Try again and hopefully it'll eventually work out. Understandably you're frustrated but Corsair is a good brand and in general they are good quality. This is unusual.

Good luck, and thanks for addressing the issue, Corsair.

I'm pretty confident that they understand the problem and have fixed it by now, at least on the H100. As to what the break down at the RMA level is, I don't know but the person I talked on 7/11/12 to knew exactly what issue I was report and assured me that the replacement was specifically to fix this and the replacement I got today is a good unit that's silent. Perhaps the warehouse failed to ship from the right pallet to the other RMA recipients who got bad replacements. Or perhaps they weren't handling the RMAs properly a week ago and are now. Or maybe it's something else.
It's very unfortunate at least one person reports 3 bad replacements so far.

Yes, I would buy Corsair products again. This is the first time I've ever had a problem with one and while it may not be solved on the first try, it will be solved. I can't say the same for some other companies. Corsair makes generally good quality products which is the reason I buy them.

This is a fluke. I understand some people are frustrated. I can say this. At least support looked in to the problem, identified it, fessed up to it on the forum and is making an effort to solve it. Some companies would not ever do this an only handle replacements on a case by case basis as people complained without announcing that there is a problem. I commend them for that.
