Default Vengeance Heatsink fell off

Ive got 4 x 4gb modules in my pc and removed them all last night for a motherboard change and one of the heatsinks came off when removing them.

I didnt use excessive force either and have read other people having the same problem.

Shoddy workmanship Corsair, not what i would expect from you.

Default Just replace the heatsink? Sounds easy....... but apparently NOT.

According to Roboto Benitio the robot from the RMA department, Corsair USA does not have the technology like they do in China, to install new heatsinks and labels on my ram sticks.

And since my ram sticks was a limited run and is now unavailable, they are willing to replace them with sub performing cheap sticks, worth half the price of mine.

It's going on a month now... without my sticks.

They wouldn't just put new heatsinks on them anyway. you would get a new kit instead. And , yes sometimes those kits are phased out as technology moves forward. This is why they offered you another set. If it's not to your liking you can contact customer support by phone and work it out with them. I'm sure they will take care of you!

What was your case or RMA# and I will be happy to check into that for you?
But you cant really go by the price you paid for something a while back and compare it to something that is in production now.

My RMA# is 259440, for two sets of SKU# CMZ8GX3M2A1600C7R

I just ended the call with that Person from Corsair and she confirmed that I CAN NOT GET MY MEMORY RETURNED BACK TO ME! I told her that it's MY PROPERTY, I OWN THEM, AND I WANT IT BACK NOW! (click)

Ram Guy, I have two other sets that need to be RMA'ed / STOLEN BY CORSAIR.
They are: CM2X1024-9136C5D, CM3X2049-1600C7DHXIN.
In each of these sets there is one dead stick. Can you please set me up with a RMA# for these?

That last one isn't a Corsair product. You would need to fill out the RMA form on the left.

Call customer service and ask for a supervisor regarding the replacement. What model did they offer you anyways?

Yea Right! Corsair is going to take 4 perfectly fine sticks of 2400MHz clockable ram, and toss them in the garbage, because they got it like that.
The issue is, this was ALL DISCUSSED already with CORSAIR, BEFORE I sent them To Corsair.

When technology moves forward, you have better spec's and better pricing. But unfortunately this does not pertain to my case.

They took so much good care of me, alright.. So much that when I contacted customer support to have them return my sticks. She told me that I CANNOT have them back.

I am sorry but that may not be possible, I would suggest calling in and ask for me on Monday and let me see if I can help work things out.
Please call the main number listed under contact after 8:30 AM Monday morning and choose option 2 and ask for Ram Guy.

Thanks for your help. Since my 4 sticks decided to "grow legs" at Corsair HQ, have Corsair's accounting department send me a check for $249.98.

Regarding the other sets of sticks I own that are defective, would Corsair like to "cut to the chase" and cut me a check for those too?
If so here is the amount's to cut the check for:
CM2X1024-9136C5D $475
CM3X2049-1600C7DHXIN $675

Also, I have brand new (sealed box) defective H100 ($110) and a H80 ($90) cpu coolers that I would like to get a refund on too.

Let's go back for a second.

You sent in TWO kits of CMZ8GX3M2A1600C7R, and they offered to replace them with CMZ8GX3M2X1600C7R?

CM2X1024-9136C5D and CM3X2049-1600C7DHXIN are two kits which you have not RMA'd, correct?

I am sorry but we do not do or offer refunds, you will have to go back to your reseller for that, but if there is a problem with them we can replace them...
I will be sure to speak with our customer service about this.
